In the 46th meeting of the council of ministers, President Tshisekede calls for a look into the report of the Antonov 72 clash in October 2019

During the 46th meeting of the Council of Ministers held this Friday, August 27, 2020, the Minister of National Defense and Veterans Affairs presented to the Council the memorandum relating to the investigation of the Antonov 72 crash.
As a reminder, this crash occurred in the town of KOLE, in Sankuru province, on October 10, 2019.
This Antonov 72 type aircraft chartered by the Presidency of the Republic had 9 passengers on board, including 5 expatriate crew members and 4 nationals.
The latest partial conclusions of the experts have allowed the definitive identification of the human remains of 8 of the 9 people who were on board.
The comparison of the results of the genetics team with those of the Forensic team made it possible not only to establish the correspondence between the parts and the bodies and between them and the presumed victims, but also to target the bags where these remains lie.
Today the remains of the following persons can be returned to their families:
Divioka Dipanga, Congolese
Maloba Mpiana Modeste, Congolese
Mukadi Tshibangu, Congolese
Tshizungu Jules, Congolese
Gorokhov Serghi, Ukrainian
Sadovnichi Vladimir, Russian
Shalikov Oleksii, Ukrainian
Shumkov Vitalii, Russian
Everything suggests that the ninth member of the crew whose telephone device was found to be Mr. Mukhambetkali Yev Mergali (Kazakh).
It should be remembered that these are experts from the Human Genetics Center of Unikin who worked there with the technical support of the Center for Forensic Medicine of the Belgian University KUL and the Medico-legal team of the Institut Médico. Legal and Funeral of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In view of these reports, the Minister of National Defense proposed to set up an interministerial commission composed of the sectoral ministries concerned.
It should study this file and make proposals to the President of the Republic concerning all aspects related to logistics, compensation, funeral costs and the repatriation of the remains of the victims.
