FARDC's heavy artillerly and Sukhoi 25 bombards the M23's key holdings in Masisi

 


The Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo shelled this Saturday, November 25, 2023, the positions of the M23 rebels in Karenga and Kilolirwe, respectively in the Kamuronza and Bashali Kaembe groupings in Masisi territory. Sources within civil society report that FARDC heavy artillery including the Sokhoï-25 fighter plane and multiple rocket launchers were mobilized to strike strategic M23 positions, including ammunition depots in Nturo (Kilolirwe) and Karenga. Although confirmed by local sources, the FARDC has not yet made a statement on these strikes and all our attempts to contact the military authorities have not yet been successful. Let us recall that the Congolese armed forces continue to occupy the villages of Tuonane and its depths in the region of Karenga but also Makombo (Kingi) and its surroundings, in the Kamuronza grouping (about fifteen kilometers from Sake), The M23 is on east side in Kabati, Kausa and Mweso in the Bashali Kaembe and Bashali Mokoto.

Citzens have done a great work in the arrest of an armed robber

Vigilant residents arrest armed man Residents of Kiwatule this afternoon foiled an attempted robbery in Kiwatule after gunman entered Liquid Cash Emergency Loans with intent to rob. The suspect, Isaac Mulengenyi, 23, reportedly fired in the air to scare onlookers however mob charged at him, arrested and handed him to police. A case of aggravated robbery has been opened at Ntinda Police Station Vide CRB 123/2019 while a rifle has been recovered with nine rounds of ammunition.
