M23 nearly holding the whole of Rutshuru as wazalendo and some civilians still claim that UPDF was on frontline with M23 !

In grouping of Binza , the FARDC stil hold their positions from Kisharu 30km from the city of Kiwanja center to Ishasha on the Congolese-Uganda border.

Many Congolese and the Wazalendo say that, General chiko owes the explanations to the Congolese population. On his order, the FARDC withdrew to Rwindi which was a strategic base to reinforce BINZA and KANYABAYONGA, MUTANDA, KIHONDO etc.... Through this withdrawal, the m23 soldiers managed to recover the localities of KITUNDA, KASHUGA and IBUNGA, thus getting closer to KALEMBE where until late the clashes between the WAZALENDO and the M23-RDF coalition were around Muhongozi and its surroundings came back under military control m23. The M23 Soldiers who had not yet succeeded in controlling 3/4 of the territory of RUTCHURU, in just 4 days they have just crossed 2 Groups including MUTANDA AND KIHONDO, and completely taken the BUKOMBO Group. Almost the entire territory of Rutchuru has just come under the control of the Rwandan Aggressors except 2 Groups including KANYABAYONGA in the Bwito chiefdom and BINZA in the BWISHA chiefdom. These two Groups are also vulnerable with the withdrawal of the FARDC to Rwindi which was a strategic base to reinforce BINZA, KANYABAYONGA, MUTANDA and KIHONDO.... NB: General chiko who is responsible for operations on the RWINDI axis can explain how these Rwanda aggressors managed to recover these 2 Groups in 4 days and why he asked the FARDC to make the withdrawal to Rwindi. As the FARDC has just demonstrated this weakness, we are asking for their heavy weapons and ammunition to drive out these Rwandan aggressors. General Chico's fault is only that he himself was not present in Rwindi yesterday. He was concentrated in Kirumba. I'm not sure it was him who gave the order to leave Rwindi without a fight. I surely believe that the commander of Rwindi had either misinformed him or made the decision without asking him first. Those who are with us know very well that we denounced the behavior of the command of Rwindi here during the capture of Katsiru by the enemy. He was asked to reinforce the position of Katsiru because the enemy was preparing attacks on this city, but his response was: “FEED WITH WHAT YOU HAVE” (Testimony of an element at the Katsiru front that day) . Consequences, Katsiru had fallen while Rwindi was overmilitarized. So I believe that General Chico should not have had too much confidence in these people. Anyway, he's alone, he can't be everywhere at the same time. It is up to the competent authorities to change the deputy/commanders of the bases suspected of treason. We can change the heads of operations, but as long as the deputy heads always remain the same, then the results will obviously always be the same too.

Since yesterday, Major General Chico Tshitambwe has been reorganizing the troops of the Congolese army on several axes, particularly around Kikuku to prevent the progress of the rebels and to respond.Major General CHIKO, commander of Rwindi axis operations, was in Kanyabayonga and will set up his headquarters in Lubero.

Since Friday March 8,there has been a rumour circulating within the population that 3 jeeps of the Ugandan military and a white armored truck, entered RUTCHURU center in the position of the M23 at PENA.This rumour still held that Ugandan soldiers who had attacked the city of NYANZALE, returned to RUTCHURU center with their heavy weapon which was on the front line in NYANZALE. This rumour still went on further by indicating that the Weapon is one of several others in the Ugandan army's allocation to reinforce the Rwandan military (M23), would be among those that Uganda had sent across the Congo as part of the EAC mission. However, some people still look a this as a way the Wazalendo and other partners are trying to spoil the Uganda -DRC relations and neither the Congolese military intelligence or domestic intelligence has said anything on the claim that UPDF is supporting M23.President Museveni categorically has always been saying that this war is an internal conflict and thus UPDF cannot be involved. But the maimai, the Wazalendo see Museveni as being hypocritical in his utterances.

M23 claims taking over nyanzale at a cost of heavy casualities!

Late yesterday evening, the M23_RDF finally managed to break through the FARDC defence and Wazalendo from Ngoroba and Lushebere until taking the villages Kirima and Kashalira from where the Kibirizi-Nyanzale road was cut. The FARDC only stayed in Kibingu and Kibirizi with the Kibirizi road to Rwindi and to Kanyabayonga. The Congolese army also ensured control of SOMIKIVU, Bwalanda, Katwe and Kikuku up to Kanyabayonga. The populations of Kirima and Kibirizi walked all night to Rwindi to Kanyabayonga where they arrived around 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. this Wednesday, fleeing the advance of the M23 rebels.
.After taking the regions of Nyanzale, Kirima and Kashalira this Wednesday March 6, the rebels continued their route to Kikuku. The village of Kibingu located less than 7 km from Kibirizi has also come under the control of the M23 and its allies who have been heading towards Bwalanda since the beginning of the afternoon. Civilian populations analyzing the situation believe that the coalition forces alongside the DRC government have given the rebels enough time to arm themselves more and launch their offensives while being in a good position. These clashes are the basis of the massive displacements of families in these areas affected by the violence. There are also scenes of looting of residents' property in certain areas. Two heavy trucks full of dead bodies were seen this evening crossing from Nyanzare. As I talk and my confidant writes, now, reports and observation still indicate  chaos in Nyanzale as both sides try to face each other with transportation of casualties.with M23 having no direct ammunition supply. M23 is trying to establish a ring so as to get smooth reinforcements.

There was also fighting in South Kivu. The localities Kajembwe, Murafura, Irango and Mugeti in the highlands, in the Bijombo grouping in Uvira territory have been under fire since 5 a.m. this morning by the suspected Twiraneho_M23_RDF coalition, according to residents on site

M23 opens various fronts in attempt to take over Nyanzale ,the birth place of Colonel Makenga!

Since 4:30a.m. this Monday, March 24. The detonations of heavy weapons have been heard on several hills overlooking the city of Nyanzale in Rutshuru territory. It is notably in Kishishe, Kiyeye, Kasoko and in Rwankuba and Mubirubiru where the M23 rebelsAfter the reinforcement of the rebel troops of the M23_RDF in Bambo all weekend showing the intentions of cutting the road linking kibirizi to Nyanzale to give them the green light to occupy the SOMIKIVU, this morning they launched the attacks on FARDC positions west of Bambo in the entities of Muti, Kauma, Nyabiteja and Mumo. In the northern part of Bambo, fighting happendb in Lushebere after Kishishe. Bombs were falling towards Kirima, about 17km from Kibirizi. Still in the territory of Rutshuru, other clashes were reported in Rusinga in the Kihondo grouping, moving straight towards the city of Nyanzale. In this attempt to conquer the cities of NYANZALE, RWINDI, th rebels encountered stiff resistance. After this Defeat, they fired a bomb into the city of Nyanzale.

Many dead bodies of young M23 soldiers were packed in a lorry .Reports from the field  by around 8:30pm imdicate that there was some confusion that arose in the town of Nyanzale. But Wazalendo claim to have repulsed all these attempts by M23.

There is a lot reporters must be careful about in this war,it is war that has tried to meet a lot of reports of which many are misleading. As iof this multi front fire was opened today,M23 reported of various victories ,and at the same time ,the Wazalendo claiming victories.Photos from different social media and online news outlets are fanatical on either sides but actually reality on the ground is different.

But to reality, many young people died during this fighting today, with a lot dead bodies loaded in lorries!

The situation is calm in the city of Nyanzale in the territory of Rutshuru since 10 p.m., an entity which remains under the control of the FARDC and the young resistance fighters Wazalendo. The M23 rebels who were already in Singa and on Bushweshwe hill were pushed back. The still provisional  dead toll increased from 8 deaths during the day to 12 this evening (all civilians), and several injured including 7 who arrived in the locality of Kikuku according to our sources in the area. In the city of Bambo since 7 p.m., the population was emptying towards Kabizo fleeing bombs which fell in this city. No injuries or deaths have been reported so far. All attempts by M23 rebels to overflow from Lushebere and Rwindi to attack Kirima and thus progress until cutting off the Kibirizi_Nyanzale road were stopped and repelled by the FARDC and self-defense youth. Our sources in Bambo estimate that the M23 rebels and their RDF allies have just suffered enormous losses this Monday, a KAMAZ brand truck is still parked full of dead bodies in their Gite position, covered with tarpaulins .

FARDC resorts to specialised commando strikes ,A ugandan from kisoro captured in such strikes..

Another commando action in today's dawn resulted in damage to the M23 camp, several deaths and an M23/RDF position destroyed TABI/KABEZA less than 5km from bwiza at 4:25 a.m.

In a similar fashion of specialised  commando operation  as we reported yesterday ,a  Ugandan was captured by Wazalendo in Bwito. He says he is from Kisoro, Uganda, where he was recruited by the M23 and tricked into claiming they were going to collect the minerals. The wazalendo claim that he also indicated that Ugandan UPDF soldiers are currently on Congolese soil in KIBUMBA. He also concluded by warning all his fellow Ugandans not to be fooled by the M23 RDF ,in a video on twitter he says that m23 tricks them to believe that there is" EMAALI" in DRC but they end being coerced into the fighting, they are sending thousands of youths to Congo just to be killed. As he spoke in Luganda language.
