Evening frontline situation !

Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC) and its allies: the Wazalendo announce that they have neutralized more than fifteen M23/RDF rebels in the Lubero territory (North Kivu).

The information was delivered to the press during the day by the spokesperson for the Northern Front operational sector, on Friday, December 13, 2024. According to Second Lieutenant Mbuyi Kalonji Reagan, the army's exploit over the M23/RDF rebels came following the clashes reported on Thursday in the Bamate chiefdom.

"In its second day of response to attacks by M23/RDF terrorists, more than fifteen of these elements were killed in the agglomeration of Luofu, a city located in the south of Lubero territory," he declared.

In addition to neutralizing these rebels, he added, the loyalist army recovered several war effects from the enemy “who did not resist the firepower of the FARDC-Wazalendo coalition.”

“Several AK-47, PKM, mortars and military effects of the attackers were recovered by the country's army,” he said.

It should be noted that clashes have resumed for some time in the Lubero territory between the FARDC/Wazalendo and the M23 rebels supported by the Rwandan army. This has been going on for more than 10 days on the front lines, particularly in the Bamate chiefdom. A situation that has caused the massive displacement of inhabitants to supposedly secure villages in Kirumba, Kanyabayonga and Kayna where they lead a difficult life, according to local civil society.

According to Reagan mbuyi kalonji, the Armed Forces of the DRC Northern Front, a precarious calm was observed on the morning of this ended Friday, December 13 on all the front lines in the Lubero territory, but the m23/RDF have just attacked their positions near two antennas, near the town of Matembe.

With several dead bodies littered on the Frontline and a lot being sneaked via some borders of the neighbouring countries up to Kigali.

DRC arrests and repatriated former FARDC army offices from Lusaka to Kinshasha in high secret intelligence led operation

Suspected of wanting to destabilize the southeast of the DRC from Zambia, several dozen Congolese were repatriated by Kinshasa during an operation conducted with the approval of Lusaka.

Suspected of wanting to destabilize the southeast of the DRC from Zambia, several dozen Congolese were repatriated by Kinshasa during a high secret operation  headed by General Tshibangu conducted with the approval of Lusaka.

The operation remained secret despite the significant system put in place by Kinshasa. Under the leadership of General John Tshibangu, a plane was dispatched to Lusaka in mid-October to repatriate several dozen Congolese to the DRC.

According to Kinshasa, the men arrested – whose exact number varies from one source to another – are linked to the M23 rebellion, active in the east of the country, as well as to former general John Numbi, a former security official under President Joseph Kabila, who is now the subject of an international arrest warrant.

You can read more about General John Numbi here

The Congolese authorities suspect them of having fomented a destabilization project in the border provinces of the former Grand Katanga from Zambia.

Upstream, the operation was the subject of direct exchanges between President Félix Tshisekedi and his Zambian counterpart, Hakainde Hichilema, who gave the green light for their extradition. Their repatriation was not a given, as the individuals arrested had filed a request for political asylum with the Zambian authorities.

In this case, Kinshasa was able to count on the support of Friday M. Nyambe, former Zambian ambassador to the DRC, appointed in 2021 to head the "Special Branch - OP", a security service within the presidency.

Among the repatriated individuals are some former senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC). This is the case of Lieutenant Colonel John Gasasira N’tawenda, a former member of the rebellion of the National Council for the Defense of the People (CNDP, from which many M23 leaders come), who was attached to military intelligence at the FARDC headquarters before his defection in 2023, and  rumoured dead in March 2023 in war skirmishes in Masisi. However,,as many sources try to whisper of General John Numbi being among the arrested, that is not the truth,he is not among those arrested and repatriated to Kinshasha, however negotiations are on going for his repatriation.

He is reputed to have since joined the ranks of the M23, which is however disputed by a source inside the movement, for whom John Gasasira N’tawenda actually answers to the orders of John Numbi. Alerts in the refugee camps

For nearly two years, the government of Félix Tshilombo has been worried about John Numbi’s intentions in the former Grand Katanga, where the latter is still said to have powerful connections in the army.

Fears confirmed by the content of a legal procedure in Belgium, which revealed the existence of a project intended to impose the independence of Katanga that involved John Numbi in 2021.

Since then, Congolese diplomacy has been working, so far in vain, to obtain his extradition from Zimbabwe, where he was granted asylum. Kinshasa particularly fears a rapprochement of interests between the designs of John Numbi and those of the M23, whose leadership has long sought to multiply the hotbeds of tension outside the eastern provinces of the DRC. For several months, Congolese intelligence has been reporting information on the recruitment of militias in refugee camps in Zambia, as well as on the transit of weapons from the Mozambican port of Beira.

Alerts that led Kinshasa to act on the raid in mid-October, in coordination with the Zambian authorities.

Nearly two months later, however, questions are being raised about the modalities of this operation, which has not been the subject of any communication from the Congolese state. In particular, the timing, considered too hasty to uncover possible complicity on the Congolese side, but also the progress of the investigation since mid-October. General John Tshibangu is due to be questioned on this subject soon by the security services.

At 9 p.m. tTHURSDAY, Dec. 12,Violent fighting  against the M23-RDF broke up.

There were reports that at least 6 people were killed in an attack by M23 rebels, supported by the Rwandan army, on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, December 11, 2024 in Luofu, an entity in the Lubero territory, North Kivu province, in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

According to local civil society, they asserts or claim that these people, most of whom are men, were killed by these rebels who accused them of collaborating with the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Muhindo Tafuteni, a member of this civic structure, deplores this situation and calls on the defense and security services to deploy significant resources to put an end to the suffering of the population, caused by the activism of the M23/RDF rebels.

It should be noted that several towns in the Lubero territory, in North Kivu, have been the scene of clashes for 10 days between the DRC Armed Forces and M23 rebels, supported by the Rwandan army

ADF in another attack in Tenambo

A new bloody attack by ADF terrorists was deplored on the evening of Tuesday, December 3, 2024 in Tenambo, a town located in the territory of Beni, in North Kivu.

Nine (9) people died during this attack and around ten houses were burned. Several people have also disappeared, said Kambale Kibwana Jean de Dieu, deputy mayor of the commune of Oïcha.

“There were 9 deaths recorded during this bloody attack. Several were also set on fire. The population is in shock,” he explained.

Civilians demand the pursuit of these rebels and not to give up tracking operations. Our sources on site indicate that these attackers aimed to obtain supplies of food and medicine. The rebels seek to reconquer their former strongholds in the Graben. The troops would be led by a certain Abwakasi. The authorities are called upon to take measures to prevent these attacks.

The same sources affirm that it is the same rebels who carried out the attack at PK20 who are the perpetrators of this attack.

Intelligence:Did the USA spy plane violate the airspace of DRC and Uganda.Has DRC envisaged this?.

An alleged US spy plane breached the airspaces of Uganda and Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) last month, according to OSINT sources from  some Ugandan media.

According to different military citations,The violations were recorded three times on the 14th, 15th, and 26th of November.

According to the Ugandan media reports, a Bombardier Challenger 604 aircraft flew over Kasese and Bundibugyo in Uganda and Beni in the DRC.

The aircraft, with the tail number N9191, is leased by the US Department of Defense and is used for surveillance, the media outlets reported reported.

It is based out of Djibouti, which houses a US Navy base.

False Permission Sought

The US Defence Attaché’s Office in Kampala had sought permission for the aircraft to transport personnel and cargo to the DRC.

However, a probe was ordered after it never landed at its destination and was spotted making “suspicious maneuvers” in both the countries’ airspaces.

Hmmm!!According to some Ugandan media outlets, the “US controllers of the spy aircraft did not bother to even ask the DRC for permission to enter their airspace,” .

“Instead, it was the Ugandan air traffic controllers who notified the understandably enraged DRC air traffic controllers.”

Both Uganda’s President and the Chief of Military Staff have reportedly been apprised of the matter and the aircraft’s earlier authorization has been revoked.

..Thank you the Media of Uganda!!!..this at least is worth ..... UGANDA first!!
