Rwandan ambassador ,Dr DIANNE GASHUMBA summoned over the DRC/M23 issue.

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs has today, Thursday 27 February, summoned the Rwandan Ambassador in Stockholm.

The purpose of the summoning is to take a clear stance – like the EU and several other European countries – against the Rwandan Defence Force’s and the armed group M23’s continued offensive in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The offensive is a violation of international law and the territorial integrity of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Sweden and the EU have repeatedly urged Rwanda to stop supporting M23 and withdraw its troops. Sweden has also urged Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to resume regionally led peace talks.

11 killed and scores seriously injured in a grenade attack during an M23 rally in Bukavu city centre

An explosion rocked the city of Bukavu this Thursday, during a meeting organized by Corneille Nangaa, coordinator of the Congo River Alliance (AFC-M23). This attack, which occurred shortly after his speech, plunged the crowd into panic and caused several human losses.

According to the official report released by the AFC-M23, the attack left 11 dead and 65 wounded. The explosion occurred at Independence Square, in the city center, just after a speech by Corneille Nangaa.

At a press conference held after the attack, Corneille Nangaa accused Kinshasa of being behind this attack, which he describes as a maneuver aimed at silencing his movement. He also announced that the AFC-M23 would cover the funeral expenses and care for the wounded.

For his part, President Félix Tshisekedi strongly condemned the attack, denouncing a "barbaric and unacceptable" act. He pointed the finger at the Rwandan army and its allies in the AFC-M23, whom he accuses of being behind this deadly explosion.

Is Kinshasha or M23?

According to a source within the civilian population of BUKAVU who followed the scene well, they allege that it was M23 soldiers who threw grenades and fired bullets into the civilian population when the young people started a song demanding the departure of the Rwandan Army on Congolese soil.

For its part, M23 accuses Kinshasa of having "dropped these bombs" causing dozens of deaths and injuries.

The M23 announced that a rapid investigation into the bombs fired at residents attending a meeting with the leadership of the AFC/M23 Alliance revealed that it was an act of terrorism by the Congolese government, using weapons from the Burundian military.

The leadership of the AFC/M23 Alliance announced that a few minutes after the meeting with the residents of Bukavu, which was well-attended, began, bombs were fired into the crowd, killing some, believed to have been carried out by the Congolese government, who intended to assassinate the Coordinator of the Alliance, Corneille Nangaa.

This occurred on Thursday, February 27, 2025, when the AFC/M23 leadership was gathering residents for a meeting attended by many residents of the city of Bukavu, which was recently captured by M23 fighters.

During the meeting, AFC/M23 Political Spokesperson Lawrence Kanyuka described the atmosphere at the meeting, where the people had gathered in large numbers and had set a morale that was also led by the Coordinator of the Forum, Corneille Nangaa.

A few hours later, M23 President Batrand Bisimwa announced that shortly after the meeting began, shots were fired with the aim of killing Coordinator Corneille Nangaa.

In his message, Bertrand Bisimwa, who accused Tshisekedi of these acts, called them “barbaric” and said: “The Tshisekedi regime has already implemented the violence that has been spread since yesterday on social media with the aim of harming the civilian population who attended the AFC/M23 meeting, which was scheduled to take place on the day of the meeting.”

He continued: “On Thursday, February 27, 2025, a few minutes after the start of this meeting, armed men with malicious intent fired grenades into the population, who had gathered at the meeting venue, causing many deaths and injuries.”

M23 President Bertrand Bisimwa said that they cannot tolerate these actions of the Kinshasa government, which refuses to lift its spear, continuing to fire bombs in various areas inhabited by the population, including densely populated areas.

Bertrand Bisimwa also announced that the initial investigation showed that these bombs were fired in a terrorist operation by the Congolese government, using weapons from the Burundian military, which is already partnering with the FARDC in the fight against M23.

Nañgaa in press conference revealed that 65 were injured, including six with serious injuries,11 dead including one woman and the perpetrator. He further said that M23 will help all those who lost their beloved one in burial arrangements and pay hospital bills to all those injured.

General Kagame’s War-Making Police State In Diplomatic Meltdown.

If we lived in the Roman Empire two millennia ago, this last week in General Kagame’s life would have been described as horribilis hebdomadal– a horrible week.  In a decisive move that underscores the growing international backlash against Rwanda’s war of aggression in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), on February 20, 2025, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) imposed sanctions on James Kabarebe, Kagame’s three-decade-long hatchet man in Rwanda, and warlord for the (DRC). General Kabarebe has a long history of executing Kagame’s dictatorial order in Rwanda, orchestrating Rwanda’s wars of plunder in the mineral-rich DRC, assassinating Kagame’s political opponents and Heads of State (Juvenal Habyarimana of Rwanda, Cyprian Ntaryamira of Burundi, Laurent Kabila of DRC), and the architect of the acts of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity described in the UN Mapping Report of 2010.

The following day, in the strongest resolution on the Rwanda-DRC war thus far, the 15-member UN Security Council unanimously condemned Rwanda and its militia, M23. The UN Security Council, among other things, called on Rwanda to entirely withdraw its troops from DRC and cease support to M23. The UN Security Council also called on M23 to vacate the cities of Goma and Bukavu in north and south Kivu, respectively.

Earlier in the week, Rwanda’s ambassadors in Europe were summoned to Foreign Ministries in London and Berlin, and the European Union has condemned Rwanda’s war of aggression in DRC.

There were calls for a ceasefire and a return to dialogue at successive summits of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC), East African Community (EAC), and the African Union (AU), but little concrete action to halt and reverse Rwanda’s war of aggression in DRC. This was noticeably celebrated in Kigali, where inaction by Africa and the international community is misinterpreted as a nod for impunity to continue to thrive and flourish.

In his characteristic temper tantrums, hubris, and bravado whenever his horrific crimes become overwhelmingly noticeable, General Kagame even suspended cooperation with Belgium simply because this European country has been calling for robust sanctions within the European Union.

These developments mark the latest chapter in a long trajectory of repetitive military campaigns that began decades ago—campaigns that have seen the capture of an entire DRC (First Congo War,1997), a second abortive attempt to recapture DRC (Second Congo War, 1998), and subsequent proxy wars that saw capture of cities like Goma (2012), and  Goma and Bukavu (2025) leaving behind a trail of bloodshed, displacement, and devastation. Despite the temporary military victories and short-lived tactical gains, these wars have been unjust from their inception, costing not only the DRC but also inflicting severe, enduring hardships on the Rwandan nation and its ordinary citizens.

Fast forward to the present, and the pattern has not changed. In the most recent campaign, Rwandan forces and their proxy militia (M23), captured both Goma and Bukavu—key urban centers in North and South Kivu provinces. Rwanda’s military is moving towards the DRC-Burundi border, and reportedly planning operations on the Walikale-Kisangani axis. These cities, critical not only for their strategic locations but also for their economic importance, once again became the stage for a brutal display of power. The rapid territorial gains came at an enormous cost: thousands of civilians were killed, vital infrastructure was destroyed, and the international community was forced to confront the brutal realities of a war fought for nothing more than the enrichment of a privileged Rwandan Tutsi elite. The capture of Goma and Bukavu reinforces the narrative that Kagame’s military endeavors are not about safeguarding regional security, fighting FDLR, preventing genocide, or protecting vulnerable Tutsi populations—they are about subjugating a nation to serve the interests of a select few, and in doing so, they become inherently unjust.

Kagame’s wars in the DRC are primarily motivated by economic opportunism and territorial ambition. Rather than seeking to redress an apparent injustice or defend against an imminent threat, these campaigns aim to exploit the DRC’s vast mineral wealth and to expand Rwandan influence in a region that has long been mired in conflict. The capture of Goma and Bukavu is less about protecting a nation or a people and more about securing economic gains for a regime that has repeatedly shown its disregard for human life. Therefore, the intention behind these operations is far from noble—it is rooted in self-enrichment and the perpetuation of power, disqualifying them from meeting the threshold of a just cause.

The only winners in these wars are General Kagame, alongside General Kabarebe and a select few Tutsi military officers who constitute the cogs in the killing and looting machinery of Rwanda’s police state. When General Kagame talks about fighting an existential threat, he means threats to his money-making war enterprise in DRC, the shaky foundations of the police state he has built in Rwanda, and the unjust territorial conquests he seeks to fold into his Greater Rwanda Project to be carved out of DRC.

While the immediate human and territorial costs of these wars are most visible in the DRC, the ripple effects extend deeply into Rwanda itself. The burden of conflict is borne by every facet of the nation—from its economy and social fabric to its political institutions and environmental resources. Unjust war exacts a multifaceted toll: economically, humanly, socially, politically, and environmentally. When these costs accumulate, they create a situation in which the state is burdened by unsustainable debt, internal dissent, upheaval, strife, genocide, and collapse, as was the case in Rwanda in 1994.  Although Kagame’s regime may continue to secure tactical victories and enrich its inner circle, the broader consequences of its policies ensure that the war is ultimately unwinnable. The pattern is set: temporary triumphs give way to a strategic decline that erodes the nation’s foundations, leaving ordinary citizens to bear the brunt of the collapse.

History is replete with examples of regimes that have overextended themselves through military adventures rooted in exploitation and injustice. The first and second Congo wars, as well as the disastrous capture of Goma in 2012, demonstrate that while military victories may be won on the battlefield, the broader strategic consequences often lead to a collapse of legitimacy and eventual downfall. Kagame’s current trajectory mirrors these historical patterns—an unsustainable strategy that may yield temporary economic gains for the few and territorial gains but ultimately condemns the nation to long-term decline and eventual regime collapse

The wars waged by General Kagame in the DRC are not merely external military campaigns; they are existential threats to DRC as well as to the very fabric of Rwanda. Beginning with the U.S. sanctioning of James Kabarebe—a man whose three-decade-long involvement in the DRC has epitomized Rwanda’s aggressive foreign policy—a series of unjust actions have marked this trajectory of warfare. From the first and second Congo wars, the 2012 capture of Goma, to the recent assaults on Goma and Bukavu, each military venture has served as a reminder that these wars are waged not for the defense of a people but for the enrichment of a select Tutsi elite.

While Kagame and his inner circle enjoy tactical victories and temporary enrichment, history teaches us that unjust wars eventually lead to ruin. DRC will eventually re-establish its full sovereignty and territorial integrity because it is fighting a just war. The 2012 capture of Goma and the earlier Congo wars serve as stark reminders that the price of such conflicts is ultimately paid by the ordinary citizens—those who bear the cost of misdirected resources, lost opportunities, and the pervasive trauma of prolonged violence. In the end, the legacy of these unjust wars will not be measured in the fleeting gains of military might but in the long-term decline of a nation burdened by its unjust wars and unsustainable policies.

The price Rwandans and Congolese people pay for General Kagame’s unjust wars in the DRC is a debt that future generations will be forced to settle—a debt measured not in temporary victories but in long-term human, economic, social, political, and environmental decline. Ultimately, while tactical wins may bring short-term glory to Kagame’s regime, the actual cost of the war ensures that a painful reckoning will shape the nation’s destiny. The historical pattern is clear: unjust wars sow the seeds of their downfall, and the cycle of exploitation and conflict will eventually leave ordinary Rwandans with nothing but the burden of lost potential and shattered lives.

For Rwanda to secure a future of authentic democracy, rule of law, true prosperity, and peace, it must break free from the cycle of violence, belligerent militarism in the Great Lakes region, impunity, shallow territorial ambition, and plunder of DRC’s natural resources. General Kagame’s political dispensation is a sham and dangerous. It is dictatorial domestically and aggressive to its neighbors, thus undermining the imperative for equitable and sustainable development, social cohesion, genuine national unity, and regional security. The international community’s growing disapproval—symbolized by the sanctions on figures like Kabarebe—serves as a reminder that the cost of unjust warfare is too high and that no regime can indefinitely sustain a strategy built on dictatorship, exploitation, and aggression.

In their wisdom, our Rwandan ancestors coined a proverb, ukubise imbwa abashaka sebuja.

Today, it is Kabarebe. Tomorrow, it will be Kagame. The final day of reckoning is on the horizon.

FARDC and Wazalendo fight in sange

Clashes took place this Tuesday, February 25, between the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC) and the Wazalendo militiamen in the city of Sangé (Uvira territory). According to several sources, the two parties, partners in arms, are fighting to occupy the former MONUSCO camp based in Sangé. These facilities were bequeathed to the army after the disengagement of the UN force in the area.

"The crux of the conflict between Wazalendo and FARDC is that the latter wanted to return to the MONUSCO camp which is now held by the Wazalendo," according to a humanitarian source in the area .

A local civil society actor specifies that the clashes are taking place in Mugenyi, in the heart of Sange city.

"The Wazalendo refuse the FARDC to occupy a former MONUSCO camp in the Mugenyi 2 district in the city of Sange. What the Wazalendo do not want," adds the source.

The situation has been tense in Sange since the morning. For the moment, at least seven deaths have been recorded.

"The current toll is 7 deaths on the FARDC side and one on the Wazalendo side and monitoring is underway," specifies the humanitarian source.

It is since May 25, 2024 that this Sange base was officially handed over to the Congolese authorities. And this base is attributed to the army. The latter hastily retreated to Uvira in the face of the offensive of the M23 rebels. It was after the departure of the Congolese soldiers that the Wazalendo occupied the said base. On their return to Sange, the FARDC soldiers are determined to reoccupy the base at all costs. Which triggered the conflict.

These clashes in Sange come after those of last week in Uvira between the FARDC and the wazalendo which left at least 27 dead and dozens injured, according to humanitarian sources.

Will he even manage to arrest and charge all the accomplices in the ICC

Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Karim Khan arrived in the Democratic Republic of Congo on Monday evening, February 24, and reaffirmed his office’s commitment to investigating crimes committed in the eastern part of the country.

“We are very concerned about what is happening in the DRC. Thousands of people have died, thousands are injured. The message must be clear: any armed group, any armed force, all allies of armed groups and armed forces do not have a blank check. They must comply with international law. The law must be effective,” Karim Khan said.

For the ICC Prosecutor, the crisis in eastern DRC must not be neglected.

“No one can hurt or kill people. The people of the DRC are as precious as any other people around the world,” he said.

During his stay in the DRC, Karim Khan will meet with representatives of the Government, the head of MONUSCO, Bintou Keita, victims of the war and partners from civil society.

The FARDC drone attacks in Minembwe today

The drone raged in Minembwe, with 4 more deaths among the recently invested Twirwaneho officers, including Bosco Ntahimbare, the Log EMG Twirwaneho. The Armed Forces of the DR Congo and the Wazalendo claim to have managed to recover a large part of Minembwe.

Minembwe is a strategic entity and threatens the provinces of Maniema, Tanganyika and Haut Katanga and all of S.kivu because, Col Charles Sematama, the new leader of Twirwaneho, declared to join Corneille Nangaa and officially announced that the Twirwaneho group had joined the M23_RDF_AFC to remove President Felix Tshisekedi from power.

The President of the Republic, appointed Justin Bitakwira, elected national deputy of Uvira, as head of the Wazalendo of S kivu, and the Honorable Bitika Pascal as representative of the Wazalendo of Maniema. They are responsible for the mobilization and supervision of these patriots in the fight against the Rwandan aggression under the leadership of the M23_RDF_AFC. However, several sources indicate that Félix Tshisekedi has appointed two controversial people in the two provinces.

The Hidden Forces Behind Congo’s Wars: Joseph Kabila, Kabarebe, M23 and the Geopolitical Struggle for Power:

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has long been a battleground for complex conflicts, driven by historical betrayals, foreign interference, and the selfish ambitions of key political and military figures. At the heart of this turmoil is Joseph Kabila Jr., the surrogate son of former Congolese President Laurent-Désiré Kabila. To understand the current crisis, it is crucial to examine the roles of Joseph Kabila Jr., General James Kabarebe, and the international forces that have shaped the DRC’s tragic history.

General James Kabarebe, a Rwandan Tutsi and former military chief of staff under Laurent-Désiré Kabila, played a central role in the violence that ravaged the DRC in the late 1990s. This included the massacre of millions of Hutu Rwandan refugees and Congolese civilians. Kabarebe’s actions were part of a broader campaign supported by the United States, particularly during the Clinton administration, which aligned with Tutsi-led forces from Rwanda,  Burundi and around the east africa. These forces, led by figures like General Paul Kagame of Rwanda,Major Pierre Buyoya of Burundi and some other leaders whom they shared the same dangerous  ideology, invaded the DRC using Tutsi proxies. The U.S. provided significant military and logistical support, enabling the slaughter of countless innocent lives.

The conflict in the late 90s, spearheaded by Tutsi extremists like Kabarebe and General Kayumba Nyamwasa, resulted in the overthrow of General Mobutu Sese Seko and the installation of Laurent-Désiré Kabila as a puppet leader. The agreements brokered by the U.S., UK, and Canada under the Clinton administration were devastating: over 12 million Congolese lives were lost, yet the international community largely ignored the atrocities. The initial plan was for Kabila Sr. to cede control of eastern Congo—specifically the regions of Maniema, North Kivu, and South Kivu—to the Tutsi Banyamulenge. These regions would then unite with Rwanda, to form an empire in Central Africa which many scholars have been branding Tutsi-Hima empire.

Many scholars believe that the capture and establishment of their rule in eastern DRC will be a grand planning ground to lay more attacks in form of proxy wars on countries like Zambia,Malawi,Angola, Tanzania, etc with the main aim of frustrating regional competitors and strong actors like South Africa  so as to set a strong strategic defence to their Empire. As a matter of fact,it is high time that this whole chaos planned by known selfish Presidents in this region is unitedly fought by all humanitarians and peace loving Africans.

However, once in power, Kabila Sr. realized the extent of the betrayal and refused to divide the DRC. He insisted that any territorial changes would require a referendum and the consent of the Congolese people. This stance led to tensions with his Tutsi allies, including Kabarebe, who was also Joseph Kabila Jr.’s maternal uncle. When Kabila Sr. began expelling Rwandan Tutsi forces from his army, the Tutsi leadership, fearing exposure of their plans and betrayal, orchestrated his assassination in 2001. Kabarebe fled to northern Angola, where the U.S. embassy facilitated his return to Rwanda.

Many Congolese politicians and citizens remained unaware of Joseph Kabila Jr.’s true origins. Born to a Rwandan Tutsi father who fought alongside Kabila Sr. in the 1970s, Joseph Kabila Jr. and his sister were adopted by Kabila Sr. after their father’s death. Despite assuming the Kabila name, Joseph Kabila Jr. has no blood ties to the Congolese leader. After ruling the DRC for nearly 20 years, Kabila Jr. now seeks to return to power, leveraging the support of Tutsi-led groups like the M23 rebellion. The M23 is widely believed to be under the control of General James Kabarebe, who also served as Rwanda’s defense minister under Kagame.

The recent U.S. sanctions against Kabarebe, a close ally of both Kagame and Kabila Jr., signal a shift in the geopolitical dynamics of the region. As the Congolese people continue to grapple with the legacy of these conflicts, it is clear that the roots of the violence lie in a complex web of historical betrayals, foreign interference, and the ambitions of key figures like Joseph Kabila Jr. and General James Kabarebe. The story of the DRC’s turmoil is far from over, and more revelations are likely to emerge as the situation unfolds. The Congolese people deserve justice, peace, and a future free from the shadows of exploitation and war.

USA Sanctions Rwanda Over DRC War:

The United States has imposed sanctions on General James Kabarebe, one of Rwandan President Paul Kagame’s closest aides, along with Rwanda’s Minister of State for Regional Integration, for orchestrating Rwanda’s support for the M23 rebel movement in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). This decision by the U.S. Treasury Department marks a critical moment in the growing global pressure against Rwanda’s continued destabilization of the Great Lakes region.

For decades, Kabarebe has been a central figure in Rwanda’s military operations across Africa. He was directly involved in the assassination of former Congolese President Laurent-Désiré Kabila and played a key role in installing Joseph Kabila, who had deep ties to Kagame’s inner circle. Kabarebe, a maternal uncle of Joseph Kabila, has been at the forefront of the bloodshed that has consumed the region, particularly in the Congo Rainforest genocide of 1997, where millions of Rwandan Hutu refugees were slaughtered.

The extent of his atrocities cannot be overstated. Kabarebe is responsible for the deaths of over 12 million Congolese civilians and the systematic rape of over 4 million Congolese Bantu and Hutu women, acts of sexual violence that have left an irreparable scar on the region. His military campaigns, carried out under Kagame’s orders, have sought to carve out a the long term ideology of Tutsi-Hima Empire in Central and East Africa—a vision designed to subjugate other African ethnic groups in the region.

A Greater Plan: The strategy of Tutsi-Hima Empire in Africa

The ambitions of Kagame and his inner circle are not confined to Rwanda and the DRC alone. The ultimate goal, long theorized by analysts and regional leaders, is to establish a Tutsi-Hima Empire that extends across:

Congo – Already destabilized by Rwanda-backed militias like M23

Burundi – Subjected to repeated interference by Rwanda

Tanzania – Eyeing resource-rich regions

Angola – A long-term target in the region

Kenya – Where Kagame's tools influence is growing in political and economic circles

Strategic expansion of their ideology!

By using proxy rebel groups such as M23, the Rwandan Patriotic Army (RPA), and other military networks, the plan has been to control vast mineral resources, seize economic power, and install Tutsi-led governments that serve their long-term interests. This empire-building strategy is built on massacres, assassinations, and systematic destruction, all carried out under the watchful eyes of Western powers, particularly the Democratic administrations in the U.S., which have historically turned a blind eye to Kagame’s war crimes due to their geopolitical interests in Africa.

The awakening of other states.

As the situation escalates, South Africa begun deploying soldiers to Eastern Congo to push back against Kagame’s expansionist ambitions. This development signals growing frustration among African nations over Rwanda’s military aggression and resource looting in the DRC. The conflict is no longer just an issue for the Great Lakes region—it has now attracted international attention and direct military responses.

The "Black Caucasians" Myth and Western Complicity

One of the most disturbing elements of this conflict is the ideological belief pushed by Kagame’s regime—that the Tutsis are a superior race, often referring to themselves as “Black Caucasians”. This racial ideology was reinforced by former U.S. President Bill Clinton, whose administration provided direct and indirect support to Kagame’s government during and after the Rwandan Genocide. Clinton’s endorsement emboldened Kagame and his inner circle, allowing them to slaughter millions across Africa with little to no international condemnation.

Under Kagame’s rule, six African presidents have been assassinated to pave the way for Rwanda’s dominance in the region. The killings, the looting, and the mass displacement of African populations have all been facilitated by Western interests that benefited from plundering the DRC’s mineral wealth. The complicity of the Democratic Party in the United States in these crimes cannot be ignored—they remained silent as millions died because their corporate allies continued to extract resources from Africa.

A Reckoning for Rwanda’s Regime

With the U.S. Treasury Department now imposing sanctions on James Kabarebe, there is growing recognition of Rwanda’s role in destabilizing the region. However, for many in the DRC and beyond, these sanctions are too little, too late. Millions have already perished, women have been violated, and entire communities have been wiped out—all in pursuit of an imperial dream built on blood and exploitation.

The world is finally waking up to Kagame’s crimes. But will there ever be justice for the millions of victims? Or will this be another instance of history repeating itself, with Western powers shifting alliances while Africa continues to bleed?

President Tshisekedi has again vowed never to negotiate with m23

President Félix Tshilombo reiterates his refusal to discuss with the M23 rebels whom he describes as terrorists. "I do not want to negotiate with the M23," he declared.

"The M23 is an empty shell." President Tshilombo accuses Rwanda of trying to pass off the M23 as a Congolese armed movement, stating that it is in reality a creation of the Rwandan army intended to defend Rwandan interests in Congo, including the plundering of minerals. "We prefer to talk to Rwanda," he declared again.

For their part,

The AFC-M23 rebels reaffirm their readiness to engage in direct discussions with Kinshasa on an IMMEDIATE ceasefire!

But they warn that they will be forced to take Uvira and Minembwe if the attacks on their positions continue and the exactions (robbery, rapes, killings by Wazalendo and FARDC) do not stop.

Is the intelligence of DRC aware of this?

The wife of the chief of staff of President Félix Tshilombo, Pastor Antony Kinzo and the wife of Corneille Nanga are biological sisters, Same father and same mother.

"Anthony Nkinzo Kamole was appointed Chief of Staff to the Congolese Head of State on Thursday, June 13, 2024.

Prior to his new role, Nkinzo served as the Director General of the National Agency for the Promotion of Investments (ANAPI). During his tenure at ANAPI, he actively participated in discussions on business climate reforms."

We want to know:

Is President Félix Tshilombo aware of this situation?

Is Corneille Nangaa also  aware of this information?

And finally, what does the intelligence service of the DRC say?

But all in all, this doesn't necessarily stop the man from his good work to the presidency!!

Twiraneho and Red Tabara have taken over the Minembwe centre

Intense fighting has been reported since early this morning, February 21, between the Armed Forces of the DR Congo Wazalendo and the Twirwaneho/Red_Tabara group, allied to the M23_RDF_AFC, in the villages of Gihanama and Evomi, near the locality of Minembwe, in the territory of Fizi, in eastern DRC. Heavy weapons and machine guns are heard, causing a massive displacement of the population towards Mikenge, Tulambo and Kipupu. These attacks came after a flying stake eliminated the Twirwaneho rebel leader, Colonel Rukunda_Makanika, and his partner from Red_Ntabara.

As of now,the armed groups Twirwaneho and Red_Ntabara, allies of the M23-AFC supported by Rwanda, have taken control of the center of the city of Minembwe after intense clashes with the Armed Forces of the DR Congo, supported by the Wazalendo, in the territory of Fizi, in S.kivu in the east of the DRC. After the death of Makanika, the group is now led by Freddy Rushombe.

ADF blamed for killing 70 people in Lubero

At least 70 other civilians died in the Lubero territory in North Kivu. A crime attributed to the ADF rebels near Maiba in the Manzya group, about forty kilometers from Vuyinga. Two days after the kidnapping, their bodies were found lying on the ground last Friday, reports the local community protection committee.

Taken hostage on the night of February 11 to 12, these victims were targeted far from the center of the tragedy, indicates Vitwamba Vianney, coordinator of this structure. The victims, all ages, were finished off in a local church.

"70 people were reported missing and taken hostage presumedly by ADF. And, their bodies have just been discovered in Kasanga not far from Maiba. The massacred victims were found in a church of the Baptist Community in Central Africa (CBCA). The area is not controlled by government forces," he said.

Political and administrative authorities are slow to comment on this situation while the vital forces of Vuyinga and surrounding areas have not stopped warning since the beginning of the current year on the need to reinforce the troops of the Congolese army supported by the Ugandan army in the hunt for the ADF rebels.

The territory of Lubero, beyond the security crisis of the M23 rebellion, is shaken by the activism of the ADF rebels who act in the chiefdoms of Baswagha and Bapere. In the last six months, the toll peaks around the hundreds of civilians killed in these towns.

M23!Belgium is strongly condemning the attack on Bukavu

"Belgium strongly condemns the offensive on Bukavu by the M23/AFC supported by Rwanda."

Like I wrote in recent post, the Belgium gorvenment is too worried of a grand war on Kinshasha and the region.

Belgium further noted:

"This increases human suffering and the risks of an extension of the conflict. Respect for the territorial integrity of the DRC, human rights and international humanitarian law as well as the protection of civilians are essential."

"The M23/AFC and Rwandan troops must withdraw. Belgium urges the parties to engage in regional mediation and dialogue."

"We are working with our European and international partners to ensure that this situation does not remain unaddressed."

"Action should be taken to strengthen the cohesion of the DRC and address the root causes of the conflict."

France had also earlier condemned the attacks on Bukavu!

France strongly condemns the Rwandan-backed M23 offensive in South Kivu towards Bukavu, in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). It is very concerned about the ongoing fighting, which is worsening an already dire humanitarian situation. The M23 must immediately cease its offensive and withdraw from the territories it has taken control of. Support for armed groups by all parties must cease.

France reaffirms its solidarity with the Democratic Republic of Congo and its unwavering commitment to its territorial integrity and sovereignty. It calls for the immediate withdrawal of Rwandan forces from the territory of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Priority is given to a return to the ceasefire and the resumption of dialogue. Following the capture of Goma on 28 January 2025, this offensive by the M23 supported by the RDF is undermining regional peace efforts and the implementation of the conclusions of the joint summit of the East African Community (EAC) and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) held on 7 and 8 February 2025. France urges the parties to implement the immediate and unconditional ceasefire decided at this summit.

France calls on all armed groups, including the M23, to lay down their arms and resume dialogue to put an end to the violence and protect civilian populations.

France is ready to implement new multilateral sanctions against all actors contributing to the armed conflict, instability and insecurity in eastern DRC.

The match for Bukavu is likely to open a grand war on DRC!

Today, there was heavy fighting on 3 fronts in Minembwe, EPÙPÙ and MWENGE, in the territory of Fizi opposing the Armed Forces of the DR Congo, supported by the Patriots Wazalendo and the group Twirwaneho Red_Ntabara allied to the M23_AFC supported by Rwanda.

Reliable sources within the M23 reveal that the rebels of the M23 are hesitant to engage in a front on the Uvira - Fizi axis because of the fierce nationalism that reigns among the population of these areas.

Reliable sources say that the rebels are seeking to take control of the Minembwe airfield to facilitate the delivery of equipment to reinforce a new front on the Uvira, Fizi and Baraka axis in  the S.kivu and Maniema, Tanganyika and Haut-Katanga axis in eastern DRC

The M23 is already present in Minembwe through its Twirwaneho auxiliary.

Today, there was  expanded security council that took place in the city of Uvira to discuss the worsening threat to these provinces.

As usual the Armed Forces of the DR Congo and Wazalendo claim to have managed to push back the Twirwaneho / Red_Tabara rebels allied with the M23-AFC, on these three front lines this Saturday in Minembwe, EPÙPÙ and MIENGE, in the Fizi territory in S.kivu, in the east of the DRC. The customary chief of Minembwe, Mr. NDAHIDA KAROJO, was killed in this War. The airfield remains under the control of the FARDC.

Burundian security launched an operation to round up all Congolese staying on its territory without residence permissions

Burundi has reportedly launched search operations and the tracking of Congolese living on its territory without a residence visa.

According to witnesses on the ground, these young people are taken from neighborhoods and loaded into trucks of the Burundian national police PNB.

The collective of Congolese students in Bujumbura calls on its members to be cautious, to have the documents and says it is fighting for the release of those already arrested.

While a control of documents is claimed, fear reigns in the class of Congolese living or having taken refuge in Burundi.

Security forces distributes guns to civilians in Bukavu

Some security forces have reportedly recently distributed weapons to civilians in Bukavu, causing panic in several neighborhoods. Groups of armed youth, claiming to be "Wazalendo", are causing scenes of terror. While the city, stormed by AFC/M23 forces, is plunged into total confusion, the helpless population is helplessly watching the collapse of public order. The resulting anarchy only worsens an already volatile situation, marked by mistrust and uncertainty.

M23 enters Bukavu,Prisoners evade the central prison of Bukavu!

A new setback for the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC). OnFriday, February 14, the M23 rebels, supported by the Rwandan armed forces, took full control of Kavumu airport, located 30 km from Bukavu, the provincial capital of South Kivu.
Control of Kavumu airport, the second largest in Greater Kivu after Goma, strengthens the position of the rebels, who continued their advance in the Kabare territory. According to information from the city of Kabamba, in the Irhambi Katana group, the rebels, accompanied by their Rwandan allies, penetrated the Kabare territory.

"The M23 and their allies invaded Kavumu airport after a calm crossing from Katana to Kavumu, without major clashes," indicates our local sources.

On  Thursday 13 February, the FARDC and their allies put up fierce resistance to the rebels who were already trying to seize the airport. However, according to the same sources, no confrontation took place between the two camps in the Kavumu area.

“The FARDC withdrew voluntarily to avoid endangering the lives of the local population,” said a witness.

After having already taken control of the Goma airport in North Kivu, the M23 rebels now control two essential airport infrastructures in the region.

“With this takeover, the M23 is extending its influence over South Kivu, making it even more difficult to re-establish state authority,” said an analyst of the situation on the ground.
After the battle to take over kavumu, numerous advance teams of M23 started thorough sorrounding in the outskirts of Bukavu,by exactly 08:45 PM (09:45PM east African time).the M23 had fully entered the city of Bukavu. The administration of Bukavu, including the gorvenor of South Kivu have since Wednesday transferred their administrative offices to uvira. It worth noting that the mighty lions of sarambwe are also ready to March for the capture and liberation of Uvira,I know that you cannot comprehend this but that is the reality. The extension to uvira will explode and make the make the war enormous. The administration in katanga is calling people to be vigilant .The FARDC is leaving minus fighting and various opinionists in DRC are in confusion of who is ordering FARDC not to fight.

Numerous Prisoners have fleed the prison of Bukavu after the m23 entered the city.

Due to widespread looting and robbery that occurred last night, the M23 gave a warning to all those taking advantage  of their advance and get involved in crimes,it went as follows:

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE OF FEBRUARY 14, 2025

"The Congo River Alliance (AFC/M23) informs residents of the city of Bukavu and its surroundings that any person who finds themselves in the following cases will be considered a bandit: 1. Carrying weapons and/or any other military equipment; 2. Urban theft and nasty destructions; 3. Looting of Kiosks, shops, third party deposits; 4. Identity theft to steal third party vehicles; 5. Cache of Soldiers or people called Muzalendo: 6. Weapons cache and/or war ammunition We firmly condemn the criminal acts of looting on the evening of this Friday, February 14, 2025 on industrial avenue and announce that the Congo River Alliance (AFC/M23) will not tolerate these acts of sabotage intended to weaken the economy of the inhabitants of the liberated areas Determined to restore order and not having prisons or dungeons, an informed, half-witted man is enough."

Last evening the FARDC ,wazalendo and burundian forces were seen vacating the city of Bukavu at a terrible speed. The administration of Bukavu including the gorvenor also fled Bukavu.

According to our intelligence collections and information from the M23 intelligence, the M23 is in an operation  around the city to ensure that the civilians and their property are secured from vandals and bad omens of the indisciplined members of FARDC who may be hiding within civilians. From the information collected from civilians in Bukavu, they reveal that they have been shocked to hear that the gorvenor escaped on Wednesday evening to Uvira yet he has been decieving them that the situation is under control.

Will schools in Goma open tomorrow?

Several schools are expected to reopen their doors as of Monday 10/2/25, as well as in management offices not affected by the latest armed clashes. According to Proved, this decision is the result of discussions with "the Higher Hierarchy of EDU-NC (National Education and New Citizenship) based in Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

However, the humanitarian situation is deteriorating day by day, because humanitarian aid is not arriving in the city, with all the main access routes to the city being cut off, including Goma airport. At the joint summit of the Central and Eastern African Communities (EAC and SADEC) on Saturday 8/2/25, in Tanzania, representatives of different countries present opted in particular for the reopening of Goma airport to allow the delivery of humanitarian aid.

Did M23 give the internally displaced people an ultimatum of 72 hours to Leave Their Camps ?

The leaders of the Mugunga and Nzulo camps for displaced persons are concerned about the ultimatum given to them by the Congo River Alliance (AFC)/M23 regime. They must leave their camps within 72 hours. The displaced persons will have to return to their places of origin, according to information gathered from concordant sources.

This situation deeply worries the president of the Karisimbi civil society, Christian Kalamo, who was alerted by the representatives of the displaced persons.

According to Christian Kalamo, the return of these populations to their villages is practically impossible in the current state of affairs. "During the war, several houses were destroyed and these localities are nothing more than bush, particularly in Rutshuru, Shasha, Malehe and Bashali Mokoto. In addition, the roads leading to these villages have become impassable,” he explains.

A return fraught with pitfalls

Leaving Mugunga for Rutshuru, Bwiko or Kitchanga requires enormous efforts and resources that the displaced persons do not have. “We are launching an urgent appeal to the national government in Kinshasa, to international and national organizations so that they guarantee the safety of these populations. If they must leave the camps, it must be done with dignity,” insists Christian Kalamo.

Beyond the logistical challenges, mortal dangers await these displaced persons in their villages of origin. “Some places are still infested with explosive devices, abandoned weapons and ammunition. Sending them back to these environments is exposing them to certain danger, especially children,” he warns.

Faced with the emergency, Christian Kalamo calls for the responsibility of the Congolese government, humanitarian organizations, SADC, EAC, the European Union and the international community. "These displaced people are neither prepared nor able to ensure their own return. Giving them only 72 hours to evacuate is inhumane. A minimum of respect for human rights is essential," he insists.

While uncertainty hangs over the fate of these thousands of families, it is now the responsibility of the national and international community to face up to its responsibilities to avoid an additional humanitarian crisis in this region already tested by years of conflict.
