Ugandan gorvenment finally talks on the claimed new border erected on Congolese soil

 

| The Chargé d'affaires ai of the Ugandan Embassy in the DRC was summoned and received by DRC minister of external affairs ,Christopher Lutundula

 , on Friday 06.10.2023 , concerning the information reporting the new border pillars which were reported to have been placed by the Uganda in Rutshuru. In a written official letter ,Ugandan official claimed that it was a toxic utterance meant to spoil DRC and Uganda relations.

New clashes in Kahe,Wazalendo lacks supplies and withdraws,M23 back in Kitchanga.

 

Clashes resumed this Saturday morning in Masisi. Local sources claim that the M23 clash with the wazalendo in Kahe, around 2 kilometers from the city of Kitchanga . The young patriotic resistance fighters are in the city and are trying to resist the M23 rebels, add the same sources.The latest news indicates that the M23 rebels still control the strategic city of Kitchanga. The wazalendo would have made a strategic "withdrawal", say many in the area. A massive population displacement is reported , just like yesterday, the Wazalendo entered the city of Kitshanga, the rebels of M23 entered the city of Kitshanga . The Burundian contingent which secures the city has allowed it to happen as yesterday with the Wazalendo .

As soon as they entered the city, the rebels of M23 led a meeting at the church CBCA of Kitshanga. Part of the population has left the city and another remains concentrated around the Burundian army positions.  just like yesterday when Wazalendo entered the city of Kitshanga, the rebels of M23 entered the city of Kitshanga . The Burundian contingent which secures the city has allowed it to happen as yesterday with the Wazalendo .

The wazalendo stalled due to lack of ammunition. They also did not want the civilian population to be targeted. It's shooting from everywhere in Kitshanga. There is chaos everywhere. Residents in Kitchanga testify that Some residents took refuge in MONUSCO. Others headed towards Mweso. Still others who were unable to flee are under the beds in their homes,”

Calmness  is observed this Saturday morning on different front lines. At Nyiragongo / Kibumba the young resistance fighters keep their positions from last night. The same situation is observed in the city of Kitshanga under the Burundian contingent.Local sources say that the rebels of M23 have occupied Kilolirwe again since yesterday evening. This morning, the city of Kitshanga wakes up to a relative calm.

The rebels of M23 who were in positions in Bishusha have disappeared, and have advanced to get closer to Kitshanga , which leads us to believe that this city still remains under threat from the M23.

According to our sources, the young patriotic resistance fighters, not being supported in weapons and munitions of war during 6 days of fighting which they waged relentlessly, hung up from Kilolirwe, retreating to kabati.The M23 rebels occupy Kilolirwe this morning.

Meanwhile, the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo say they are continuing to respect the cease fire.

As an expert on the situation in Kivu,the pictures and the Observation on the ground ,situation within the surrounding area indicate that M23 is preparing and ready for a big attack.M23 is a force that has relied much on clandestine operations before a retaliatory offensive and from the words,pictures and confidence of their high command ,it is a great emanation that they are cooking something big.It may be a direct attack on goma or a retaliatory counter attack on Masisi.

 There is some unconfirmed news that are spreading that colonel Mandevu has been arrested in Goma.Colonel Mandevu first worked with FDLR and later joined M23 during the period of 2011-2013 where he was an assistant to Colonel Mboneza.Claims say that He currently was serving as an intelligence operations officer in M23.
