Major General Chiko Tshitambwe takes over office as the head of military ooerations in North kivu.

 

North Kivu has a new head of military operations. Major General Chicko Tshitambwe was named head of military operations in the war-torn North Kivu province in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo on Tuesday, according to an official message from army chief of staff General Christian Tshiwewe. General Tshitambwe replaces General Fall Sikabwe in this position.Circles around the army whisper that one of his first major operation will start around Rwindi with the overall aim of putting pressure on on Jomba/Bunagana.He is a known no nonsense military who has had unreputable results in operations he has carried on.Within FARDC ,he is also well known to be stingy when it comes to discipline in operations.

Situation at 6:57 p.m. 🔥 Relative calm was observed in the morning of this Tuesday, February 20, 2024 in Sake and its surroundings in the Kamuronza group in Masisi territory. M23 -wazalendo clashes resume this tuesday,around Bweramana!

 Start of clashes this Tuesday, February 20 around Bweremana. New fighting was reported this Tuesday between M23 rebels and Wazalendo resistance fighters around Bweremana, capital of the Bahunde chiefdom in Masisi territory in the North Kivu province. According to local sources, the fighting was started at 7 a.m. local time by the M23 and is concentrated on the hills of Ndumba near Nyamubingwa (±3km from Bweremana) and Kashungamutwe near Kabase (±7km).

INTERNAL STRIFE WITH THE RANKS OF M23: AS TWO M23 UNITS CLASS IN MUBUGU

This Sunday,Kiringa came under the control of the FARDC. 27 dead bodies of Rwandan soldiers abandoned by the M23 .The FARDC continues to put pressure around Mweso.

The military governor of North Kivu, Major General Peter Cirimwami, visited the city yesterday to assess the progress of the forces on the ground and to galvanize the troops. Thus, the dreams of taking the city of Saké are dying little by little for the rebels thanks to the determination of the FARDC, supported by the Wazalendo whom several young people from the city of Saké and the city of Goma joined in such a short time. in order to defend their Lands.

On 16/02/2024,there was an intense fighting in katsiru where one colonel in name of Kanyesuku Jack was neutralised,there is a claim that Kanyesuku Jack was an m23 member from the RDF.

In the same night, M23 rebels and their RDF allies tried again to open another front on the MWESO-PINGA axis in order to bypass the Wazalendo lines in the MBUHI village located 3 km from the Center of Mweso. But the Wazalendo Resistants stopped them in their tracks and managed to push them back to BUSHENGE. 

GORVENMENT IS RUMOURED TO HAVE ARRESTED ALL COLLABORATORS OF M23 LAST NIGHT:

The Gorvenment started with the arrest of the two provincial heads of ANR(domestic intelligence) and the spokesperson for the military governor .Last night there was a crackdown in the major cities to flash out all the collaborators of the enemies.This is a serious time for arrests last night in Goma, Bukavu, Kinshasa and Kasaï, Bandundu and Lubumbashi. many military officers and businessmen as well as a handful of Congolese politicians suspected of being in collusion with the enemies, participation in an insurrectional movement of the M23/RDF. complicity with Corneille naanga. M23 MOVEMENT FACING INTERNAL WRANGLE

There is increasing Discomfort within the ranks of M23, Soldiers, civilians, financiers and other relatives are abandoning the movement. According to several sources close to the M23, a real discontent is happening in the movement from the command to the troops.There was a reported clash between two units of the M23 at Mubugu in kitchanga and several m23 rebels from these two opposing units were reportedly dead.
