Attempted evasion of kakwangura central prison in butembo

An attempted escape was recorded at Kakwangura Central Prison, Butembo, on the night of Thursday to Friday, April 3, at around 02:45. According to security sources, six inmates were believed to be involved in the escape. Among them, one was captured by prison guards, another was killed during the intervention, while four are still on the run. The exact circumstances of this escape remain to be determined, but an investigation would be underway to shed light on this security incident within the prison facility.

ADF raids Bafwakoa village and kills several civilians

According to our reliable sources ,there was an ADF raid on Bafwakoa, several civilians killed and village burned An attack reported on Wednesday night to Thursday, April 2, in the village of Bafwakoa, located on the RN4 about 148 km from Mambasa, in the direction of Kisangani. According to local civil society, the village was burned to more than 60 percent, with several motorcycles and vehicles burned. Civilians were killed during this raid. The provisional assessment of the terrorist attack of the ADF-ISCAP, a terrorist movement affiliated to the IslamicState, in the village of Bafwakao, headquarters of the Bafwakao group, in the territory of Mambasa, Ituri province, indicates the death of 45 students.According to Intelligence  reports from civilians,More than 3 vehicles, motorcycles and several houses were burnt, in addition to people taken histage in the bush by ADF terrorists. 3 FARDC battalions to smoke FDLR off operational capabilities

According to our reliable intelligence sources inside the DRC army,three battalions will be deployed in military operations aimed at tracking down and neutralizing FDLR elements still active on Congolese territory... The launch of this offensive was announced in Kisangani by General Jacques Ychaligonza, Deputy Chief of Staff of the FARDC in charge of operations and intelligence. These special units have left Kisangani for North Kivu to reinforce operations on the ground. This initiative is part of the commitments made in the Washington Agreement, where the neutralization of the FDLR is among the main recommendations supported by Rwanda.
