DRC Army calls on the NDC-R Militia to surrender "as soon as possible"

The military command of the Armed Forces of the DRC, North Kivu province, says take note of the statement of the rebel movement Nduma Defense Of Congo (NDC-R), removing its commander-in-chief, self-proclaimed general Muissa Shimiray.
In a statement made to the press, this Friday, 10 July 2020, the North Kivu operational sector Good 2, says he welcomes the will of this armed group to stop hostilities and invites it to drop arms and surrender as soon as possible.
" In order for this manifest will to remain a simple statement, the operational 2 North Kivu is waiting for another strong signal from the Nduma Defense Of Congo movement, including dropping weapons and surrender the most early possible to the FARDC ", said Major Guillaume Ndjike army spokesperson in the province.
For example, the commander of this area is instructed by all the commanders of the units deployed on the ground, to receive all the NDC-R elements that wish to surrender and treat them human.
After the split of the NDC-R, violent fights broke out between the militia and the Congolese army. 8 rebels were killed and others ran away with the impeached Commander Muissa  Shimiray.
A few hours after the removal of the self-proclaimed general  Mwisa, former leader of the Nduma defense of Congo (NDC-renovated); the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (FARDC); say take note of the removal of rebel leader handlebar Shimiray at the head of the NDC-renovated movement.

At the same time, he invites all commanders of the units deployed in the area to receive and treat human; the elements of the NDC-R militia that will show the will to surrender to the Armed Forces.
Let's say it's since the evening of July 2020, 08, that the spokesperson for the NDC Désiré Ngabo Kisuba has announced the removal of his Commander  Shimirayi Mwisa, leading this movement. The new heads are his deputy Julbert Bwira, assisted by Mapenzi Likuhe.

Vigilant residents arrest armed man Residents of Kiwatule this afternoon foiled an attempted robbery in Kiwatule after gunman entered Liquid Cash Emergency Loans with intent to rob. The suspect, Isaac Mulengenyi, 23, reportedly fired in the air to scare onlookers however mob charged at him, arrested and handed him to police.
