Rebel leader Maï-Maï / Mazembe shot in Lubero

Kitete Bashu, self-proclaimed general and head of thread of the Mai-Mayi / Mazembe militia gathered in the Union of Patriots for the Defense of Innocents (UPDI), was shot early this Friday, July 17, 2020 in Miriki village, south of Lubero territory in North Kivu province.

Mai-Mayi / Mazembe have several human rights violations including killing, looting, kidnapping and sexual violence, mainly in the territory of Lubero and other bodies in North Kivu.
