4 people were killed by armed men assimilated to alleged ADF rebels on the night of Thursday to Friday, August 14, 2020 in the village Mukomuko located near Kilometric Point 16 on the Mbau-Kamango road in Beni territory, North Kivu province.
According to Janvier Kasayirio,civil society reporter in the Beni territory, the killed civilians were found by the attackers in the midst of rural activity.
Our source adds that the bodies of the victims were recovered from the scene of the tragedy by the FARDC soldiers and were deposited in the morgue of the general hospital of reference in Oïcha pending burial.
This killing comes a few hours after that of Makele-Kitevya near Oïcha where an ambush by the rebels left 4 civilians dead and 4 motorcycles set on fire.
