Clashes opposed elements of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo "FARDC" to ADF combatants on Wednesday, September 02, 2020 on the Mbau-Kamango road, in Beni territory in the province of North Kivu.
Lieutenant Anthony Mualushayi, spokesperson for the army in the Beni region, takes stock of 3 ADF combatants killed and two AK-47 weapons recovered, during these fights which took place at kilometer points 17 and 18.
"We imposed our professionalism on the rebels on the evening of last Wednesday. They wanted to attack our positions on the spot. Alas! Our elements were vigilant, they retaliated against the threat," he said.
He specifies that an element of the regular army which was wounded, continues the medical care.
The same source underlines that the situation is under the control of the FARDC which continues the operations of the searches.
