4 civilians died and several other missing missing after an attack by alleged ADF rebels in the Beni-Mbau sector in North Kivu this Saturday, September 26, 2020.
According to Manoko Jacques, head of the Matembo district, 3 people were killed in Mbutaba, an agglomeration in the locality of Sikwaila.
“There are three bodies of civilians who were found in Mbutaba 2, executed by the attackers who were passing through the area at midday. Their bodies were deposited at the Sanru health post in Mbutaba 1. There are also serious injuries, ”Manoko Jacques said.
For his part, Lingasa Mantombela, chief of the town of Kelekele, another lifeless body was discovered the morning of this same Saturday by FARDC elements in full patrol. The event took place in Kingbayi, more or less 7 kilometers from central Mbau.
It should be noted that in the space of a week, around 20 people were killed in the Mbau sector by ADF combatants. They are said to be moving from east to west of this part of Beni territory.
