46 people including 5 law enforcement personnel's arrested in bunia in an operation done today

 An operation was organized early in the morning of Tuesday, September 29, 2020 on Fichama and Nyamaragi avenues in the Kindia district, in the commune of Nyakasanza in the town of Bunia, capital of the province of Ituri. It is a joint operation of the Congolese national police "PNC" and the Congolese army (FARDC). The police spokesperson in Ituri says that 46 people including 5 law enforcement officers were arrested during the said operation, several weapons were seized including 51 machetes and a spear, a tear gas grenade, two loaded magazines , as well as military effects. "The results of this closure are as follows: 41 civilians, 2 police officers and 3 soldiers were arrested. Several objects were seized, namely 51 machetes, a pair of boots, two loaded magazines, a tear gas grenade, a pair of police outfits and a spear, ”revealed Chief Commissioner Roger Tibasima in a message posted on social networks. He indicates that this closure, the objective of which is to strengthen security in the town of Bunia, will continue in other areas of the town. It should be noted that on September 4, the CODECO militiamen based in Ezekere entered the town of Bunia by these two avenues in which the closure was organized.
