Several houses were set on fire and cows swept away in an incursion by Mayi-Mayi elements last Tuesday in more than 5 villages of Minembwe in the territory of Fizi, in South Kivu. The village of kawela was destroyed and cows carried away. Several households have fled and are now spending the night without shelter. I sent a team to the places where these families went to identify and assess humanitarian needs, "he said on Thursday, September 10, 2020. In addition, Rubibi Ruvuzangoma, president of the civil society of Minembwe indicates that several people have were also killed during this incursion, and the toll is difficult to establish for the moment. He informs that hundreds of the cows have been looted. It should be remembered that it is now more than 2 months that attacks by armed groups have been reported in Minembwe in the highlands of Fizi and also in Mwenga.
