In November 2025, the Islamic State reported that its Central African province, the ADF/ISCAP, visited the Christian towns of Litakridi (I searched in vain for this village in the ADF's area of activity in Ituri, Kivu, Tshopo, and Uele) and Ilake (a village well-known for its thriving cocoa culture near Mayuwano in Mambasa territory), in northeastern DRC.
We thus call upon the intelligence of the two armies to do much in uncovering and protecting people of this village.
The ADF/ISCAP claims to have gathered residents in these villages, calling on them to convert to Islam and to "worship God alone" or pay the jizya tax.
These extremist fighters say that most residents agreed to pay the tax to the ADF and subsequently obtained security and freedom of worship in the region. They published a photo taken during this gathering.
They reported an incursion on November 3, 2025, by the ADF in Ikale, Mangina-Pori. villages located near the Teruri River in Ituri.
In July 2025, an ADF attack on the same village of Ikale resulted in several civilian deaths and the abduction of 50 people. Thirty of the hostages, mostly women and children, were later released without any ransom demands.
