All vehicles with modified chassis blocked use roads in Kasindi Beni,Butembo have been allowed to start offloading by tomorrow!

End of the blockade on non-compliant vehicles with modified chassis, an agreement reached






Provincial deputy Kambale Lutsumbi Bienvenu accompanied business operators in discussions with the governor of North Kivu, Major General Kakule Somo Evariste, resulting in the lifting of the blockade on non-compliant vehicles with modified chassis.


1) Unloading of goods starting May 6 for vehicles in violation, without seizure

Transshipment of goods in Kasindi for vehicles stuck  there

 Unloading in Beni for those parked at the city entrance and in Mukulya

Unloading in Butembo for vehicles from Kangote

 Authorization to continue the journey for vehicles from Eringeti heading towards Ituri or Tshopo

 2) Escort granted to vehicles already unloaded after signing a commitment form, specifying the location where they will be brought into compliance with the required standards

3) Authorization to continue routes, for vehicles with minor deviations, particularly regarding the width of the container or an overrun of a few centimeters in length, without signing a commitment form

The provincial deputy commended the authorities' flexibility and called on the security services to demonstrate professionalism, avoiding any form of hassles in implementing these measures.
