Danger is roaming in Mahagi as Covid-19 positive cases are under poor management.Truck drivers who ferry goods via this town must be extra cautious.

In an interview on sunday, July 19, 2020, Anican Tengo, a political actor of civil society in Mahagi, denounces the poor management of confirmed positive cases of Covid-19 placed in isolation in this entity located more 190 km from Bunia, capital of Ituri.
“There is danger threatening the population of Mahagi. The 3 confirmed positive cases of covid-19 are abandoned to their sad fate. They receive no assistance and are not the object of any follow-up "regrets this actor of civil society.
According to him, the patients, who are supposed to be in isolation and better taken care of, find themselves in contact with the outside world, in search of food.
"They buy roasted peanuts from small children who circulate them in the districts, what a risk for the population of the territory of Mahagi" he fears.
When questioned, the provincial Minister of Health left it to the chief medical officer of the area in this region.
“That the civil society constitute a delegation to meet the chief medical officer of zone. He is the one who has to deal with this situation, "said Patrick Karamura.

This is a summerised over view of all army officers and their assignments:Many FARDC officers see the appointment of General Sikabwe Asinda by President Tshisekede as Chief of the Land Force as a big problem.

Lieutenant-General Sikabwe Asinda who was appointed the new Chief of Staff of the Land Force of the Democratic Republic of the Congo by the presidential order.
According to many senior officers in the army, the new Land Force Chief of Staff, General Sikabwe Asinda is not a man with a good heart to the Congolese army and the country itself. He had been recalled in Kinshasa, due to legal proceedings against General Fall Sikabwe.
The case is making great noise in the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (FARDC). For several weeks now, military personnel in the East of the country fighting the ADF rebellion and armed groups pulling up in the Beni area have been wondering about the disappearance of their December 2019. bonus. At the heart of the dispute: $ 100.000 that should have been donated to soldiers fighting East. Several soldiers have denounced these suspicions of misappropriation to their hierarchy. First, only Lieutenant-Colonel Édouard Ngoy (aka Edo Mupatase) is auditioned and placed in pre-trial detention.
But at the heart of this possible system of corruption, many witnesses target General Fall Sikabwe, the commander of the 3th defense zone, of which Edward Ngoy is the personal accountant. Another soldier is also quoted: General Tshaligonza, commander of the Great North Operational Sector. This is not the first time General Fall Sikabwe has been controversial. In 2015, his appointment by Joseph Kabila to the command post of North Kivu caused the suspension of cooperation between the Monusco peacekeepers and the Congolese army. The United Nations believed it could not work with this general, accused of serious human rights violations.
Another money embezzlement business is circulating around Fall Sikabwe. When the general was in charge of the command of the military region of Goma, a dark story of Jeep Prado's purchase assigned to the heads of departments, had already alerted some of the Congolese army executives. $ 600.000 had been awarded for the purchase of these vehicles. But General Sikabwe would then have decided to buy 10 used Jeeps from the Sudanese army for $ 150.000 $. ′′ Net profit: $ 450.000!" denounce Congolese military.
A report of the Discipline Council of the Congolese army recommended legal proceedings against the commander of the 3th zone of defence of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), General Fall Sikabwe.
The officer is suspected, according to the results of the investigation recently sent to the FARDC Chief of Staff General Célestin Mbala, of diverting money to pay from the military bonus.
The lawsuit will be accompanied by a ban on the person concerned from joining his workstation in Bukavu.
It should be recalled that General Fall Sikabwe visited Ituri on Sunday, February 16, 2020. The commander of the 3th defense zone was at the head of a strong team but the purpose of his mission was not to make the bonus first known.
A visit to this corner of the Republic in a tense context with the intensification of attacks attributed to Ugandan rebels in the territory of Mambassa and Irumu, as well as those of the CODECO militia, active in the territory of Djugu and Mahagi.

The municipality of Kibumba, in the territory of Nyiragongo, was equipped with an administrative building by MONUSCO, through a quick impact project (QIP) on July 16, 2020. The rural commune is now able to deliver basic public services to the local population.
The keys to the building were officially handed over on July 16 by Julius Fondong, head of the Political Affairs Section of MONUSCO in Goma, in the hands of the Mayor of the municipality of Kibumba, located about thirty kilometers north - east of North Kivu capital.
The ceremony was chaired by Jean-Bosco Sebishimbo, provincial minister of the interior and territorial administration of North Kivu, in the presence of the provincial deputy for Nyiragongo Territory, group leaders, village leaders and other local authorities , as well as citizens of Kibumba.
′′ The municipality of Kibumba has 28.000 administration. It is one of the few communes in North Kivu that knows no armed groups within it. That is, the population of this commune never found it necessary to take arms for one reason or another. And this has been taken into account in the development of this quick-impact project to reward and recognize the will of the people of Kibumba to work for peace ", said Julius Fondong, during his inauguration speech.
′′ We know that this commune is surrounded by various armed groups whose activism is important. Despite everything, this commune has never given up to the sirens of violence and that is why we chose it. To thank and encourage her in this momentum, to turn her back permanently on violence and to resolve conflicts peacefully ", he insisted.
The building was built by the association ′′ Synergy of Workers for Integral Development ′′ (STDI) composed of former contractors of the MONUSCO office in Goma. It has a meeting room, three offices, toilets and a rainwater collection system, for a total amount of US$ 50.000 funded by MONUSCO. The main objective of this construction is to support the stabilization and strengthening of state authority in this territory.

DRC's Chief of land forces is in BUKAVU to launch the biometric registering and identification of FARDC soldiers.

DRC's Chief of Staff of land forces is in Bukavu to launch military biometric recording operation. This meant to biometrically register all forces in South kivu in bid to recognize and identify all FARDC soldiers in the region. The need for this form of identification is a result of various deserters , alleged infiltrators and mutinous groups in the region of Kivu That has pepertually provided a fertile ground to various rebel groups and insecurity.

Head of state of DRC Felix Antoine Tshisekede has sanctioned planners of the Katanga massacres. Soon Kyabula Jacques and John Numbi will be under arrest!

According to reliable sources, a counterpart of Governor Kyabula has leaked several plans of the March 13, 2020. massacre.
The investigation continues to find around thirty of the missing UDPS members abducted by the militia of John Numbi and Governor Kyabula whose relatives continue to claim their return with family.
However, several security sources investigating the July 9 and the July 13 massacre say that by canceling the July 13 march, Moise Katumbi thwarted a bloodbath, and conclude that Governor Kyabula is involved, and will have to answer before justice.
Several NGO members investigating these massacres in Congo, France and Belgium believe that the president of the DRDCONGO must immediately arrest Governor Kyabula for committing a massacre in complicity with General John Numbi. They also want the president to order an international investigation to inform national and international opinion of these massacres which now fall into the rank of crimes against humanity, suggesting that the responsible authorities in the province have planned to trigger ethnic cleansing in Lubumbashi and in the great Katanga.
Diplomatic sources under anonymity do not hesitate to call for the arrest of Governor Kyabula and John Numbi as well as an international investigation into what is now known as the Lubumbashi massacre of UDPS members in the March of 9 July 2020, 2020.
In another related issue, General Celestine Mbala may also get in hot soup after he failed to provide take-home allowances to FARDC officials as the president has instructed via an official letter. This leaked shows that the president has allowed a given some of money to be given to officers which thing the chief of staff of FARDC ,did not do..and officers want to know where the money went.
