Strategic hill of Mudugudu taken over by Wazalendo as they eye Bwiza

After violent fighting, young patriotic resistance fighters have just dislodged the M23 rebels from the strategic hill of Mudugudu which gives passage to Bwiza, the great stronghold of the M23 and formerly of CNPDP of Laurent_Nkunda .

Ruya and Swagara have passed into the hands of the patriotic resistance fighters, who are now heading towards Bwiza which is located 7km from their current position.

The populations who had fled the fighting towards Bwiza are already beginning to climb the valleys to return Kitchanga , where in a brief meeting in the middle of the day, the patriotic resistance fighters asked the population for forgiveness for certain slip-ups they had committed. last week, and launched a call to live together and to combine efforts to drive "the common enemy, which is M23 / RDF ", out of the national territory.

Alot of dead bodies still littered in the bushes of kilorirwe

The first victim of any war is the "truth".. But like I said up to 120 youths are said to have perished in the fightings in Kitchanga, kilororwe and petit masisi. We may witness more deaths as the wazalendo gets ready to take the fight to Rutshuru.None should be happy about this especially the parents of these young souls. It totally unfortunate that some politicians and military vagabonds have taken it a trade to enjoy over the blood of the new generation. What we may witness in Rutshuru may be worse.

Curiously we noted this morning that a large part of the population of the community Tutsi has left Bunagana for an unknown destination. There have been soldiers of M23 along the border with Uganda since yesterday,” alerts a resident of Bunagana.

On the side of Kitshanga in the territory of Masisi , the same situation is observed. Until yesterday evening, the rebels had control of the city but this morning, the young patriots entered without a fight.

“Until yesterday, the M23 rebels were in the City, they even organized a meeting but this morning, we only see the Burundian and the young self-defense resistance fighters,” confirms another source in Kitshanga.

One of the locals in the area warned and  was eager to see the army administrators confirm the two military helicopters he claimed to have dropped on DRC soil from Rwanda.

“Find out about two planes coming from Rwanda, they passed through nyesisi/rugari-Rutshuru". He further stroke on a point that

"At 8:45 a.m. Monday 09/10/2023, njo zinapita and that An RDF meeting was  concluded at this time at Kavumu Primary School ,Burere in the Bweza group in Rutshuru territory where they spent the night coming from Rwanda this morning they are starting to go down towards Ntamugenga and Kalengera and even Katale,”.

SUMMARY OF TODAY'S SITUATION

1. No clashes have been reported in Kitshanga or its surroundings contrary to certain rumors circulating on social networks. They are already installed on the strategic hill of Mubugu, in the city and are already on the air near the Monusco base. Our local source has just visited Kahe and other corners of the city, the observation is that the M23 rebels are no longer in their positions, and no one knows until now what direction they would have taken.Yesterday Sunday, the M23, according to several testimonies, recorded enormous losses among its troops after fighting with the resistance, indicates our source.

All the families close to the rebels who were in Kitshanga are not visible either, some members of the Tutsi community have also just abandoned the city this morning, heading towards Bwiza in the territory of Rutshuru , say the inhabitants of the place.

We are working with our sources to learn more about the destination and reason for the rebels' withdrawal. After having reoccupied Kitshanga without a fight, a massive deployment of young resistance fighters is underway.

2. The position of the M23 rebels which was on the Baudouin farm ±6km from Kitshanga center was also emptied even before the arrival of the young patriotic resistance fighters.

These young people are chasing the rebels who have retreated to Bwiza . The clashes continue towards Mudugudu and Rusekera more than 25 km from Kitshanga.

3. The rebels of M23 who came from Kalengera to reinforce theirs in Tongo, fell into an ambush set up for them by the resistance in the very center of Rushovu.

4. At Tongo/kisangani, Kanaba, there is silence from the sounds of weapons for the moment.

5. No clashes have been reported in Ngwenda, Kinyandonyi and Busanza since Monday morning.

There was Intensification of fighting between the M23 and the  Wazalendo this ended dawn. These New clashes have been reported since 4 a.m. Monday in the Tongo grouping. Heavy and light weapons heard since this morning. The situation remains confusing.
Since yesterday ,a lot of dead bodies were littered on the battle fields ,observation on the ground indicate that up to 120 dead bodies were seen ,with over 70 vividly identified as of fallen M23 young men, there is even report and rumour circulating within the battle field that Colonel Zairwa may have perished in the fighting

.However, people ough to be carefully for there are a lot of Social  media outlets inclined to either sides reporting falsified information to reap morale and support, while tarnishing the other. There a report that a certain colonel of FARDC was killed in a fight yet it is a lie,the latter died in Ituri. He did not die in North Kivu.Photo of colonel Muziko Bernadine

SITUATION IN MASISI
The situation wakes up calm at Kilolirwe where the young patriotic resistance fighters are consolidating their positions and expanding their zones of control.

At Kitchanga , the situation remains volatile, because the young Patriot resistance fighters can attack at any time, given their current movements.
SITUATION IN RUTSHURU
In the group ofTongo in the Territory of Rutshuru , the M23 rebels have since 5 hours attacked the wazalendo who in return responded. Detonations of heavy and light weapons are reported in Mulimbi, Kanaba, Tongo/Kisangani.
Many observers believe that the resistance of the population reflects a failure of the M23 rebels despite the military arsenal at their disposal against the Patriot resistance fighters, who do not want to cede a single m² of their land to the "aggressors" and endure seeing their parents , brothers and sisters insecure.

M23 getting reinforcements from Rwanda?
The civil society territorial coordination of Masisi warns of the risks faced by the populations remaining in the city of Kitshanga where clashes have been taking place for several days between the Wazalendo and M23.

“We alert once again, both national and international opinion on the reinforcement in men and logistics of the M23 by the Rwandan army on Congolese soil and the territory of Masisi continues to be victim of the atrocities of the M23/RDF. The information in our hands indicates the landing of a Rwandan army helicopter on a hill near the village of Kahe in neighboring Rutshuru territory,” alerts Télésphore Mitondeke, president of local civil society.
There is a rumour that the numerous numbers of men and ammunition reinforcements from RDF passed via bunagana/ Jomba to aide those on front in Kiwanja.Un confirmed information and rumours say that all these reinforcements were ordered by General Ruki Karusisi.
