M23 reaffirms its stay in Kibumba as they eye Goma

While the M23 rebels and their army allies Rwandaise tried to overflow at the foot of the volcano Nyiragongo to take the city of Goma on the morning of this Thursday, a consistent response with precise fire from the FARDC imposed itself, going so far as to dislodge M23_RDF in the hills of Bisogo, Nyundo, the villages of Kingarame and Burambo in the grouping of Buhumba .

This muscular response forced the rebels to move the artillery with which they were shelling the positions of FARDC in Hehu, on the Congolese border of Kasizi .

A resident of Buhumba  believes that this disillusionment "would already push the M23 to regret having provoked the FARDC from their positions of observing the ceasefire". He still thinks that if the rebels lose Kibumba following the fighting, it will be a stab in the back of the M23 which will no longer have an easy time getting its reinforcements from Rwanda to its positions in the Masisi .

Already this evening, reinforcements in men and ammunition from Rwanda and Rutshuru for the M23 are reported in Kibumba, to probably try to regain control of the situation which has escaped them since midday on Wednesday.

In the territory of Rutshuru , the M23 rebels advanced to Bambo in the evening hours after harsh clashes, and Birambizo in the Bukombo grouping.

An ambush has just been laid on the rebels in the Murambi and Kiringa neighborhoods in #Rutshuru center this evening, several bullets crackled for the cause.

The situation is calm in the group #Kibumba in Nyiragongo territory, no clashes have been reported this morning.

The city of Kibumba remains under the control of the #M23 rebels who reinforced their numbers throughout the night.

The young people #Wazalendo have already set up their positions around this city, where fighting could break out at any time.

In the territory of #Rutshuru , the M23 rebels present in part of the city of Bambo, have been since 6:20 am, launching shells at the position of #FARDC at the level of Jite, to reassure themselves of the raking of this position before deploying there.

The rebels spent the night in Rebero , one of the districts of the city of Bambo, the latter have not yet crossed the center of Bambo .

The provisional collateral damage from yesterday's clashes shows 2 dead civilians whose bodies were found, 1 slightly injured and 3 transferred to Kibirizi hospital including 2 children and 1 adult man.

Several houses were hit by bombs thrown by the rebels, our source confirms.

A team made up of Ugandan and congolese officials will be dispatched to discuss the shifted border pillars in Mungo near Bunagana

 

A team composed of Congolese and Ugandan experts will soon be deployed to Rutshuru to verify this situation.Last month there was out cry that Uganda erected border pillars on DRC soil specifically in the area of Mungo some few kilometers from Bunagana border post.

The town of Kitchanga has been retaken by the lions of sarambwe ,M23!

 The city of Kitshanga , located nearly 100 km west of Goma (Masisi territory) has come under the control of the M23 rebellion since this Saturday after violent clashes. The front had moved closer to Kitshanga since the morning, our sources say. People from surrounding villages were moving to escape the shooting. Kitshanga is considered one of the important wazalendo locks which protected other villages already recovered. The population has emptied the city since 8:30 a.m., some headed towards the base of the MONUSCO , others towards the base of the troops Burundaises of EACRF DRC Contigent. At this moment crackling sounds are heard at the bottom of the city on the side of the road which goes towards Mwesso .T

he Burundian troops of EACRF_DRC only observed the entry of the rebels into the city.

Situation report on M23 Vs Wazalendo

 Nearly 5 days after the M23 rebels' attempt to regain control of the city of Kitshanga failed, the security situation remains calm and is calm this evening.

 Bruno Nizeyimana and other motorcyclists who had been arrested by M23 have been released after M23 passed them via thorough and exhaustive interrogation from their bases in CYANZU.These were arrested by M23 on Tuesday of this week ,but thanks to the hard work of Kisoro RDC and other secret,unknown simple looking individuals who made the information get high "marking" to the top Ugandan Gorvenment Desk who worked tirelessly to see these boys released.Bruno Nizeyimana a resident of Maziba ward was arrested by m23 on Tuesday on allegations of spying.But,the family of Bruno is happy for his release,they highly thank the M23 for releasing him after them proving he was innocent and thank the RDC of kisoro for his effort in having unrelentingly followed the matter of their kidnap.

M23 holds a meeting in Kinyandongi,as wazalendo gives Ultimatum of 48 hours to the EACF

In a brief meeting held this morning by the commander of the troops from M23 to Kinyandonyi , he threatened the population with regrets if they continued to collaborate with the self-defense youth. This commander also formally prohibited the grouping of men on the road, believing that it would be difficult for them to differentiate between civilians and resistance fighters, due to the fact that they were all in civilian clothing: "The day a bullet hits our military or positions, you will regret it" said this commander of the rebel troops to the populations of kinyandonyi, who interpreted these words as a threat of massacre, as was perpetrated by the M23 in several other entities such as Kishishe , Kalake , Kalenga and elsewhere.

Wazalendo gives EACF 48 hours ultimatum to start fighting M23.

Recently, the M23 rebels were overwhelmed by sporadic attacks from young patriotic resistance fighters who regularly appear in almost all areas occupied by the rebels.After the ultimatum launched by the young patriotic resistance fighters and the civil society of the territory of Rutshuru to the troops of eacrf_DRC

 , the collective of victims of the Rwandan aggression gives these troops 48 hours to leave the ground Congolese if they do not intervene against the rebels of M23 .
