Civil societies in territory of Masisi alerts DRC government of the raising of a flag of claimed ′′ Republic of Kivu ′′ in the locality of Lwibo by Bakuna groupment in the territory of Masisi.

This citizen structure feared a probable balkanization of the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo says that this flag would be raised in this part of North Kivu Province by the renovated NDC rebel group that has since settled in this locality.
′′ It was since last Tuesday that this flag of the Republic of Kivu was raised by the renovated NDC in our region. We believe that these have raised it with the objective of meeting the needs of foreigners who want to balkanize North and South Kivu. We fear belonging to a Republic that we do not recognize and that is in the interest of foreigners who manipulate people ", said David Mwisha president of local civil society.
It also calls on both provincial and national authorities to investigate the true initiators of this Machiavellian plan that plunges the population in this corner of North Kivu into sessionist anxiety.
It should be noted that this act happenned a few days after the same flag was seen in the city of Bukavu in South Kivu.
