Suspected ADF attacked kyamata village in irumu territory

Suspected Ugandan ADF rebels made a new attack on the Banyali-Tchabi chiefdom, in Irumu territory, from Tuesday to Wednesday, August 05, 2020.
It was Kyamata village that was targeted. There, 3 civilians were killed, several others missing and property taken, local sources reported.
“There are three people who died , including two women and a man. These ADF rebels have kidnapped a lot of people. They also looted a lot of goats and other people's property, ”Richard Balengilyao, representative of the Nyali Tchabi community.
After this rebel attack in the area, a massive displacement of the local population to other areas is reported, says our source.
In recent months, this part of Ituri province bordering the neighboring province of North Kivu has been the target of numerous rebel incursions. Alleged ADF are the basis of several abuses in this area.
