ADF has again been pointed out in the yesterday's killings in Irumu

Three people, including two village chiefs and a woman were killed by machetes on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, in the village of Belu, located 12 kilometers south of Tchabi, in Irumu territory, in the province of Ituri. .

Sources in the region attribute this criminal act to the ADF and indicate that these rebels broke in during the day, around 12 noon local.

The youth president of the chiefdom of Banyali Tchabi who confirms this information specifies that the victims are in particular Bahati from the village of Banditeku and Likovi from the village of Bandimboma and his wife.

Consequently, all these two villages are emptied of their inhabitants. The latter, fearing for their safety, moved to Tchabi-center.

“In any case, the situation is not good in our chiefdom. The population continues to live without the military. We find that we are truly abandoned and neglected. We want the government to take responsibility for securing us, by sending us soldiers, because we are bothered by ADF rebels here at home, ”said Anayeyi Jacques.

It should be remembered that three other people were shot the day before, on Monday September 7, in the village of Tieti, in the Boyo group, in the same chiefdom. This brings to 6 the number of people killed in this customary entity in the space of two days.
