According to Jean Philippe Mukuaki, specialist in the private sector and promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises who presented this project to the press, it is the ACT and PCT of the border posts of Goma, Kasindi, Bunagana (North Kivu) and Bukavu ( South Kivu) which are targeted by these training courses which will last for 4 months.
"We expect professionalization and legalization from these ACTs and PCTs with the implementation of tools that will allow them to work on good practical bases with the impact of improving their income", declared Jean Philippe, also consultant at the FORHOM office.
Training sessions for trainers are planned with a view to providing them with the tools, particularly in terms of the capacity to develop partnerships and strengthen communication plans.
As a reminder, during this year 2020, as part of the improvement of the working conditions of Small Cross-border Traders, the PFCGL has also provided them with tricycle motorcycles, installed giant screens at the various border posts to raise awareness on the rights and duties of migrants as well as the fight against the coronavirus. Thermal cameras have also been installed for disease surveillance and the construction of modern toilets at the small DRC-Rwanda barrier in Goma.
