 President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo says he is informed that certain politicians are sponsors of the destabilization of the eastern part of the country where populations are regularly massacred by armed groups. In a press conference held this Thursday, October 08, 2020 in Goma, Félix Tshisekedi promised "immediate prosecution" against these politicians without taking into account their immunities. "Among the politicians, there are those who are pulling the strings and I had the opportunity to tell them yesterday, a bit on the tone of the threat by promising them immediate prosecution without taking into account their immunities respective ones, because quite simply we have information according to which they too are pulling the strings ”, he declared. The Congolese president also affirms that on the other hand, insecurity in the east of the country is also born from land conflicts between customary chiefs. This is how he said that there are "several crises in this crisis of insecurity". Hence the urgency to work very closely to put an end to it.
