Today morning ,Violent clashes have been reported in Rugezi, near Minembwe, between Twirwaneho and Red-Tabara fighters, allied with the M23/ARC, and Wazalendo militias supported by the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The fighting is taking place in the Fizi highlands of South Kivu, in the eastern part of the country.
The Wazalendo of the CPLC/FABB group, under the command of Lieutenant General Delphin Kalembe Ngoma Nzito, have been resisting a coordinated attack by the M23, Twirwaneho, Red-Tabara, and the FNL since 7:45 AM. The fighting has also spread to the villages of Timbia, Ngoma, and Rudabadaba.
