CDF Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba urged newly promoted UPDF officers to embrace greater responsibility and integrity. The decorated officers include Lt. Gens. Jack Bakasumba and Francis Okello; Maj. Gens. James Kinaalwa, Deus Sande, Charles Byanyima, William Bainomugisha & Christopher Ddamulira; and Brig. Gens. Mcdans Kamugira, Fred Zakye & Paddy Ankunda, among others.

Attacking the Qualcomm's GPU

 - When writing an Android exploit, breaking out of the application sandbox is often a key step. There are a wide range of remote attacks that give you code execution with the privileges of an application (like the browser or a messaging application), but a sandbox escape is still required to gain full system access. This blog post focuses on an interesting attack surface that is accessible from the Android application sandbox: the graphics processing unit (GPU) hardware. We describe an unusual vulnerability in Qualcomm's Adreno GPU, and how it could be used to achieve kernel code execution from within the Android application sandbox.   After almost six decades with Heckler & Koch, the German Bundeswehr appears to have selected a new supplier for its assault rifle.  A MK556 configuration shown on Haenel’s site (Haenel Defense) C.G. According to several sources the German Ministry of Defense has chosen C.G. Haenel GmbH to supply the next German Assault Weapon.
