General Tshiwewe Songesha has been transfered to ndolo military prison

The trajectory of Christian Tshiwewe Songesha starkly illustrates the brutality of power shifts. From a central figure in the Congolese security apparatus to a prisoner in one of the country's most secure military prisons, his fall is as spectacular as his rise.

Our intelligence collected around Kinshasha by our agents reveal that after being questioned by the National Cybersecurity Council (CNC), Army General Christian Tshiwewe was transferred to the high-security military prison of Ndolo in Kinshasa.

Under the presidency of Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi, he had experienced a meteoric rise through the military ranks:

April 2020: Christian Tshiwewe was promoted to the rank of Major General;

August 2022: he was promoted to Lieutenant General and appointed Chief of the General Staff of the FARDC (Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo);

October 2023: He reached the pinnacle of his military career with the rank of General.

But in January 2026, the situation changed dramatically. The man who commanded the Congolese army was completely demoted and transferred to the Ndolo military prison, a symbol of a disgrace as sudden as it was resounding.

A page was turned, leaving many questions unanswered about the underlying reasons for this precipitous fall.
