A joint cross-border technical meeting opened on February 19, 2026 in Mpondwe, on the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Over two days, experts from both countries will assess economic, security and governance issues to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

The Congolese delegation from North-Kivu is represented by Consulate Kahindo Sikakulya, Senior Coordinator of the Military Governor in charge of Finance, Economy and Trade.
