Fight against the ADF – call for a “multidimensional” approach

Since 2014 ADF claimed the lives of the following:

🔴 2,600 soldiers killed

🔴 12,750 civilians killed

🔴 2,577 wounded

🔴 3,196 missing


Omar Kavota, president of CEPADHO, emphasizes that these figures reflect the scale of the humanitarian crisis and the need for an approach combining security, prevention, and support for affected populations.


General Jacques Chaligonza, Deputy Chief of Staff of the FARDC in charge of operations and intelligence, stressed on Tuesday, February 24, the need for a comprehensive strategy to combat the ADF rebels: “We cannot fight terrorism alone. We must conduct multidimensional operations.”

Attacking the Qualcomm's GPU

 - When writing an Android exploit, breaking out of the application sandbox is often a key step. There are a wide range of remote attacks that give you code execution with the privileges of an application (like the browser or a messaging application), but a sandbox escape is still required to gain full system access. This blog post focuses on an interesting attack surface that is accessible from the Android application sandbox: the graphics processing unit (GPU) hardware. We describe an unusual vulnerability in Qualcomm's Adreno GPU, and how it could be used to achieve kernel code execution from within the Android application sandbox. Miyano Large-scale counter-offensives led by the valiant and invincible FARDC and Wazalendo fighters are continuing toward Katoyi, which is already under threat; the aggressors risk being cut off from any escape route at any moment. The town of Katoyi is already feeling the impact of the Wazalendo and FARDC presence following the capture of nearby areas and the strategic use of the Mitimingi locality.
