Parliamentary member in Beni calls for a review on the ban on some long vehicles as prices of cement rises to US 20$

We have come to learn that the MP Christian Mafungula Calls for Lifting of Ban on Non-Standard Vehicles Christian Mafungula, the elected representative for the Beni territory, is calling on the military governor of North Kivu, Major General Evariste Kakule Somo, to reconsider his measure banning the circulation of non-standard vehicles. According to the MP, this decision is causing a surge in market prices, particularly for cement, which now sells for between 17 and 20 US dollars per bag. He also states that motorcycle and car fares have increased significantly, directly impacting household budgets. Christian Mafungula also denounces the blockage of goods in Kasindi, the rise in fuel prices, and supply difficulties in a region already facing insecurity. He is calling on provincial authorities to ease this measure to alleviate the burden on the population and businesses.
