HOW PHONE COMMUNICATIONS BY GENERAL KAMANZI FRANÇOIS CONTRIBUTED TO THEKILLING OF WILLY NGOMA!

Claimed and blamed to be a  double agent, the current issues of General Kamanzi François reveals a particular episode of the war in eastern DRC. While maintaining contacts with former president Joseph Kabila, Rwandan officials, and his brother-in-law Sultani Makenga, he was simultaneously informing the Congolese military hierarchy about the enemy's activities.



HIS ROLE IN MILITARY INTELLIGENCE


Knowing he was under surveillance, Kamanzi recorded certain conversations and transmitted the gathered elements to military officials. This intelligence allowed the FARDC to anticipate the movements of the RDF/M23 terrorist groups, prepare ambushes, inflict significant losses on the enemy, and contribute to the neutralization of Willy Ngoma.


He also denounced several officers suspected of treason, who are now under arrest, some of whom confessed after their interrogation.


HOW DID KAMANZI CONTRIBUTE TO THE NEUTRALIZATION OF WILLY NGOMA?


The FARDC already had Willy Ngoma's phone number and were tracking his communications. However, an intermediary was needed who could directly contact him to facilitate his location.


This is where Kamanzi played a decisive role. On the night of the operation, knowing Willy Ngoma was the target, he called him and kept the conversation going. During this exchange, Congolese forces refined his location and adjusted their strike until his neutralization.


The strike was so intense that Willy Ngoma's body was completely shredded, to the point that it became impossible to distinguish it among the debris.


 WHY HIS DEPARTURE?


According to the information provided, the terrorist aggressor Joseph Kabila promised him leadership of the movement's armed branch in place of Sultani Makenga. This promise is said to be the reason for his hasty departure.


HOW WAS KAMANZI CONTACTED BY  JOSEPH KABILA?


During their last communication, contacts were made through an intermediary. An individual went to Kongo-Central to relay the proposal to him, as his phone communications and other contact methods were under surveillance.
