ADF rebels reportedly roaming around Mangina

 

According to various civilian sources and OSINT collections,the ADF rebels are reportedly operating around the towns of Mangina, Masiriko, Makusa, Mantumbi, Lukaya, and Makumo in the Beni territory this weekend.

This comes after they killed more than 20 people with machetes last Wednesday west of Beni.

In some past hours ,they had been filmed traversing Biakato where they killed many.

An alert has been issued to law enforcement and security forces in anticipation of further massacres in the area in the coming hours.

The civilians call upon the commanders of the operation Shujaa to take this as a serious alert.They continue to lament that it will be too unfortunate if the nextew hours ,people and innocent children are killed by the terrorists.UPDF and FARDC should intervene fast to save the innocent civilians.

ADF rages havoc in biakato

Twenty-four hours after attacks attributed to ADF fighters in the Biakato region of the Babila-Babombi chiefdom, the death toll continues to rise, with at least 21 people killed, several missing, many seriously injured, and homes burned, plunging families into profound humanitarian distress.

According to alerts relayed by local civil society actors, bodies have been found in Lalia, Vatican, Kotakoli, and Central, while some areas remain inaccessible due to persistent insecurity, preventing the recovery of more victims and assistance to survivors.

Houses, motorcycles, and shops have been burned in Kawame and other affected areas, while several civilians, including parents and children, remain missing or are being held hostage, exacerbating the fear among the population.

On Friday, May 8, the attackers also set fire to a Wazalendo fighters' position in Kibenete before heading towards Nyonyonyo, where they are still reportedly present. This has prompted civil society organizations to call on security forces to urgently reinforce the protection of civilians.

Faced with this new tragedy, residents of Biakato and neighboring areas are appealing to authorities and humanitarian partners for swift assistance to be provided to bereaved families, the wounded, and displaced persons now living in fear and uncertainty.

Provincial deputy Kambale Lutsumbi Bienvenu accompanied business operators in discussions with the governor of North Kivu, Major General Kakule Somo Evariste, resulting in the lifting of the blockade on non-compliant vehicles with modified chassis.

1) Unloading of goods starting May 6 for vehicles in violation, without seizure

Transshipment of goods in Kasindi for vehicles stuck  there

 Unloading in Beni for those parked at the city entrance and in Mukulya

Unloading in Butembo for vehicles from Kangote

 Authorization to continue the journey for vehicles from Eringeti heading towards Ituri or Tshopo

 2) Escort granted to vehicles already unloaded after signing a commitment form, specifying the location where they will be brought into compliance with the required standards

3) Authorization to continue routes, for vehicles with minor deviations, particularly regarding the width of the container or an overrun of a few centimeters in length, without signing a commitment form

The provincial deputy commended the authorities' flexibility and called on the security services to demonstrate professionalism, avoiding any form of hassles in implementing these measures.

ADF led two simultaneous attacks on Bandavilemba along komanda-luna road

  Two simultaneous attacks attributed to the ADF targeted the Bandavilemba area in the Walese Vonkutu chiefdom, Irumu territory, on the Komanda-Luna road (RN4), early Tuesday morning, May 5, 2026.

According to our intelligence sources from the civilians,the villages of Mambume and Mambelenga were targeted. The provisional death toll stands at three civilians and several wounded.

The situation remains tense in the area, where families are fleeing and displaced persons have been reported, despite a relative calm observed on the ground.

ADF attack:The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for its first attack by the ADF/ISCAP in Haut-Uélé province.

This implies an expansion of their operational area, although sleeper cells have existed in this region, long considered a safe haven for the ADF leadership.

Most OSINT and HUMINT collections confirmed the incident within the civilians and  provincial authorities, who specified that the attack targeted the Watsa territory in the Matuya area. They indicated that they had not yet formally identified the attackers, while also stating that they had deployed units of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo to secure the area.

Over 500 Trucks had/have been Blocked in Kasindi, “Health Guarantee” Tax Blamed for Fuel Shortages in Beni and Butembo.

In Kasindi, over 500 trucks transporting fuel were stuck, particularly at the Amicongo depot. This situation is believed to have been  the root cause of the fuel shortages observed in the cities of Beni and Butembo, as well as in other areas of the province.

Furthermore, several vehicles transporting construction materials were also blocked due to non-payment of the “Health Guarantee” tax, recently introduced by the Ministry of Health. On the ground, several civil activists had asserted that there will be no question of leaving Kasindi until all the affected vehicles are released.

 Fuel Prices in the ended weekend:

Butembo: 8,000 FC to 10,000 FC / litre

Beni: 10,000 FC / litre and up

Goma: 4,000 FC / litre

Despite the arrival of a few tanker trucks in Butembo, fuel prices remain high. A litre of gasoline was selling for 6,000 Congolese francs at the pump on Monday, compared to 7,000 francs and more at roadside stands.

Furthermore, long lines were observed at the few gas stations that still had supplies.

HEAD OF STATE DONATES 91 COWS TO THE PEOPLE OF BIBOGOBOGO

 

 

Following a meeting held today in South Kivu, near Minembwe, a powerful gesture made a lasting impression:

 91 cows were given to the people of Bibogobogo (Banyamulenge, Babembe, Bashi, and other communities), who have been severely affected by the war.

The meeting took place in the presence of the Head of State's special envoy, kongolo, as well as General Yakutumba, along with representatives of the various local communities.

The discussions went very well.The people even requested a connection between Bidogodogo and Baraka.

In the Head of State's vision:

strengthening peaceful coexistencerebuilding after the war and laying the foundations for a shared future
