Scandal at NIRA as complainants seek for help from CDF Muhoozi

MAJOR CORRUPTION SCANDAL IN NIRA AS ED ROSEMERY KISEMBO IS EXPOSED

We patriotic cadres of Uganda are begging you sir Afande CDF mkainerugaba to begin with National Identification and Registration Authority that swindled money meant to give us IDs, and up to now no delivery has been made despite all the promises that were given to Ugandans.

Government released money for IDs, but it has allegedly been eaten, and the work it was meant to do is still very slow, frustrating millions of Ugandans who depend on these IDs for daily survival and access to services.

We can no longer access our details from NIRA staff. The ID system is now the only one authorized to give us our own details, which does not make sense at all and has made the process even more complicated and unfair to ordinary citizens.

IDs are now more expensive, as it is being said that only those with connections to the ED can easily get NINs, leaving the common Ugandan stranded and helpless in a system that is supposed to serve everyone equally.

There are also serious allegations of bribery in the process of obtaining IDs, where some people are forced to pay in order to be helped, something that defeats the entire purpose of a national identification system.

NIRA procured many machines, but they failed to work in the field and have not helped improve service delivery. This raises serious questions—where did they procure them from and who approved such procurements?

They were given money to recruit staff, but up to now they remain understaffed, which has worsened the delays and inefficiency. Who swindled this money meant for recruitment?

We have come to learn that even in the recruitment, there was massive bribery and corruption that ended up in people without the required skills, this has tremendously impinged on the success of registration. It is worth noting that more people were not happy with some of the workers recruited at parish ,subcounty levels..etc.It is vivid that people who were recruited with responsibility of data entry were in most cases not having the skills ,greatly delaying the process. They was even gross bribery at the registration where even non ugandans paid alot of money to get registered as Ugandans.

There are also concerns about unpaid salaries among NIRA staff, which has affected morale and service delivery, making the situation even worse.

Any complaints to the Minister are ignored, and it is said this is because of close connections, which leaves Ugandans with nowhere else to run for help.

We are appealing to Muhoozi Kainerugaba to intervene and help Ugandans because the situation has gone out of hand and needs urgent attention.

Help us handle ED Rosemary Kisembo the way you handled Internal Affairs, because Ugandans are suffering and losing trust in a very important national institution.
