The Chairperson of the African Union Commission condemns the drone attack carried out by the AFC/M23 in Kisangani.

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, expresses his deepest concern and condemns in the strongest terms the drone attack carried out against the airport in Kisangani, in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, and claimed by the armed group AFC/M23.

However,Bertrand Bisimwa of M23 bitterly reacted onto the AU .He said;

"The African Union Commission condemns an action that saved human lives and caused no casualties, rather than condemning terrorist drone attacks that have killed hundreds or even thousands of innocent people. This is a serious and very dangerous step backward for Africa," denounced Bertrand Bisimwa, president of the M23 and deputy coordinator of the AFC, regarding the regional organization's condemnation of the drone strike on Kisangani airport.
