M23 officially lead the Passing out of over 5000 new recruits in Rumangabo

According to many of my confidants and intelligence sources inside the M23 hierarchy in Rumangabo, a new contingent of AFC soldiers has just completed its training, bringing the total number of trained personnel within the movement to nearly 5,000.

According to my intelligence sources from the high command of the mighty M23/AFC (Congo River Alliance) leaders, they confirmed  to me that this marks a significant strengthening of their operational capabilities.

As I earlier said on most of my social media ,accounts,it is very dangerous for the Kinshasha government to underestimate the power of M23.Iam very sure that M23 with its military tacticians are using a delay methodology to easily and calculatively take over the city of Uvira. The take over of Uvira will certainly be at the end of the year or the beginning of 2026.

A conversation from junior officer and other low ranking officers, indicates that they are eager to take over Uvira and in high morale to even engage the government officers in quest for the takeover of the whole administration in Kinshasha .In a conversation with one officer on Frontline ,he had this to say "nkubu imana idufashije mukuru wacu twizera twese ,ariwe uhira urinzwe nimana "Afande Makenga" akadukorera plan maze na Kinshasha tukayigabaho ibitero bakamenyako dukeneye Kandi dufite uburenganzira bwose bwo gutaha nogutura muri congo".

He further stressed that "Makenga ICYO yatubwoira cyose twagikora kukiguzi cyose .."

Morning clashes in Rugezi as wazalendo faces Twirwaneho -Red tabara

Today morning ,Violent clashes have been reported in Rugezi, near Minembwe, between Twirwaneho and Red-Tabara fighters, allied with the M23/ARC, and Wazalendo militias supported by the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The fighting is taking place in the Fizi highlands of South Kivu, in the eastern part of the country.

The Wazalendo of the CPLC/FABB group, under the command of Lieutenant General Delphin Kalembe Ngoma Nzito, have been resisting a coordinated attack by the M23, Twirwaneho, Red-Tabara, and the FNL since 7:45 AM. The fighting has also spread to the villages of Timbia, Ngoma, and Rudabadaba.

Emmanuel Kamanzi released after nearly a year in custody.

The president of the Tutsi community of North Kivu, Emmanuel Kamanzi, arrested in Goma and then transferred to Kinshasa on March 22, 2024, has just been released by the Congolese government.

Nothing from Washington as it was from Doha!War must continue.

As Kagame and TSHISEKEDI are expected in Washington in the coming days,The ceasefire remains virtually nonexistent as clashes persist in the region. Following Kilungutwe and Kasika's advance to Kidasa in the Mwenga territory, our intelligence report that the M23 rebels and their allies harbor ambitions of advancing towards the territory's main town, located approximately 35 km from Kidasa, where the rebels and their camp are already situated.

While all sides continue to systematically violate the ceasefire, Kinshasa ostentatiously claims respect for the Doha process. According to intelligence on Frontline and inside FARDC operational command in south Kivu, the armed forces, the FARDC, are continually withdrawing, which is causing concern among local civil society. Civilians are asking: "How far will these retreats go?"

Our intelligence sources close to Burundians contingents in UVIRA complain of the unseriousness, unpatriotic, undisciplined and money minded nature of the Congolese elements on the Frontline that has impinged on most of the strategic battle plans. In Shabunda the Wazalendo  are bitterly accused of installing barricades that lead to extortion, where the interim chief of the Baliga group was reportedly humiliated by Wazalendo elements based in Mulungu, the group's main town. According to local sources, the traditional chief allegedly attempted to oppose the installation of a 5,000 FC barrier on the Nyakigongo River in Kitandi/Mulungu.

FARDC soldiers have been fleeing the battlefield at Mwenga-Kamituga. They are heading towards the Baliga area, in the Shabunda territory, and are going from village to village and mining site to demand money from residents and traders. Two groups were seen on on friday in Kamulila; the population there collected 1,000,000 Congolese francs, and then these soldiers headed towards Chelamzi.

The Baliga area has several mining sites located near the Ulindi River. The local population is panicked and no longer knows how to reach Kamituga. In these mining sites, many traders from Bukavu and Goma are stranded, unable to leave Baliga to reach Kamituga and continue their journey to Bukavu. It is also difficult for them to pass through Kigulube, Evari, or Nzibira to reach Bukavu.

Only one route remains viable: traveling down the Ulindi River to Shabunda-centre, a four-day journey. Once in Shabunda, it's possible to fly to Beni or Kalemie. From Beni, one can reach Goma, then take a boat to Bukavu.

Previously, the trip from Baliga to Bukavu cost around 200,000 Congolese francs (FC). Today, it costs between 600 and 1,000 USD. In the Baliga area, there are no money transfer or withdrawal services, which exacerbates the suffering of the population. The Wazalendo people refuse to accept this situation.

I know the geography of eastern DRC very well. I regularly receive calls and messages from traders from Bukavu and Goma who describe the situation to me, I know this region intimately, having relatives all over North and South Kivu and even Manyema.

DRC: Army Calls on US and Qatari Negotiators to Address AFC/M23 Violations of Agreements

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC) denounced , in a press briefing, the "continued aggression" by the AFC/M23 rebellion despite the commitments made in recent agreements, including the ceasefire.

"Every day, the M23/AFC coalition continues to attack our positions, systematically violating the ceasefire," declared the spokesperson for the armed forces, Major General Sylvain Ekenge.

He called on the American and Qatari facilitators of the negotiations to "immediately take the necessary measures" in response to these "expansionist ambitions."

While reaffirming their commitment to the peace process, the FARDC (Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo) warned that they “have taken and will continue to take all necessary measures on the ground to respond firmly to these provocations.”

This hardening of their stance comes as new fighting has been reported in the last 48 hours in Masisi and Walikale, in North Kivu, as well as in South Kivu, raising fears of a large-scale resumption of hostilities in eastern DRC.

Two days of sit down demonstration to honor the victims of the ADF and demand peace.

The first day of inactivity, this Friday, November 28, 2025, is being organized by a coalition of pressure groups and citizen movements to honor the memory of the victims of the ADF massacres in Ntoyo, Byambwe, Mukondo, Mabambi, and other localities in North Kivu. It aims to reiterate the refusal to normalize this tragedy and to urge the government to take action.

The second day of inactivity will take place on Tuesday, December 2, at the call of the Synergy of Women's Organizations of Butembo (SYOFEM), which condemned the atrocities, of which women are particularly victims, during a meeting at the ADF headquarters on November 25. SYOFEM is organizing a peaceful march to demand greater involvement from the authorities in restoring peace.

M23 now controlling kimbili and nyarubemba

In South Kivu, the villages of Kimbili and Nyarubemba are now controlled by the AFC-M23 rebels. This territorial takeover follows an offensive launched on November 20 against positions held by the FARDC (Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo) supported by the Wazalendo (Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo). The fighting particularly targeted outposts in the Basiki chiefdom, within the Bamuguba Sud group.

Following the clashes, the rebels consolidated their presence in the area, marking a strategic advance in the Shabunda territory. This episode has also triggered significant population displacement: approximately 160 families are reported to have fled their homes to escape the insecurity. These households come primarily from Lulimba, Kimbili, Mulanga, and Ngolombe. Some have headed towards villages such as Isesya, Lutika, or Kiluma, while others, more vulnerable, have retreated into the bush, hoping to find some respite until a possible ceasefire.

The M23's advance in this region is causing serious concern among the population, especially as it comes amid persistent tensions in eastern DRC.

4 Dead and 14 Wounded in Exchanges of Fire Between 2 Armed Groups; FARDC Restores Order

 Uvira:

The Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC) announced that they had restored order on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in the city of Uvira (South Kivu), following clashes between two factions claiming to be "fake Wazalendo." The clashes severely disrupted the city, the provisional seat of provincial institutions.

According to information provided by the spokesperson for Operation Sukola 2 South Kivu, Second Lieutenant Mbuyi Kalonji Reagan, sporadic gunfire reported in several neighborhoods resulted in a provisional death toll of four: one FARDC soldier, two members of the Wazalendo groups involved, and a civilian motorcyclist. Fourteen people were also wounded, including nine civilians, two loyalist soldiers, and three Wazalendo fighters. The wounded were transferred to the Uvira Military Referral Hospital and the Uvira General Hospital. The FARDC (Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo) reported recovering three AK-47 rifles during the operation.

Military authorities denounced a "destabilization plan" attributed to enemies of the country, who are allegedly using groups falsely claiming to be part of the Wazalendo movement to sow confusion and undermine stabilization efforts in the east of the country. The army stated that these elements were "neutralized and rendered harmless" thanks to the joint intervention of the Panther units and the Rapid Intervention Battalion.

The commander of the 33rd Military Region and head of the South Kivu and Maniema Task Force, Brigadier General Ilunga Kabamba Jean-Jacques, called on the population "not to succumb to disinformation" and to cooperate with the security services. He also urged residents to report any troublemakers in a security context marked by the activities of armed groups, notably the M23-AFC coalition, which the FARDC accuses of being supported by the RDF.

In the aftermath of the incidents, a lull was reported in the city. The army asserted that the situation was now under control, pending the conclusions of investigations launched to identify those responsible for the disturbances.

UPDF intensifies operations against ADF in Mambasa

Two loud explosions were heard early Saturday morning around 5:54 a.m. in the Mambasa territory, plunging the population into shock.

According to information obtained from the Ugandan army hierarchy based in DRC, UPDF drones had flown over Mambasa airspace the previous day, targeting several ADF positions along the Epulu River, in the Walese Karo chiefdom. We are still waiting for a full report on this operation.

Is Burundian intelligence recruiting banyamulenge into a new armed outfit?

According to several in our HUMINT and OSINT collection centres and information sources, General Emmanuel Ndayiziga, presented as head of the documentation or military intelligence service (G2) in Burundi, is allegedly involved in operations related to the abduction of Banyamulenge refugee children living in camps in Burundi.

It is reported that General Ndayiziga is working in collaboration with Sébataware Willy Munigantama, Minister Gisaro, and Kongolo Jacques in these alleged actions aimed at transferring children to South Kivu province, where an armed group attributed to Minister Gisaro and one of President Tshisekedi's advisors, Kongolo Jacques, is reportedly being formed under the command of Sébataware Willy, alias Munigantama.

According to these military and civilian based Intelligence sources, eight (8) children have already been abducted, four (4) of whom are said to be under 18 years old. The abductions reportedly took place in the Inyenkanda camp on November 4 and 5, 2025. It is also alleged that an agent of the Burundian documentation service, Ndayirukiye Diomode, was involved in these suspected operations.

These allegations underscore growing concerns about the safety of Banyamulenge refugee children in camps in Burundi and call for an independent investigation to establish the facts and ensure the protection of vulnerable populations.

The Arrest of General Masunzu! Is FARDC SAFE?

Lieutenant General Pacifique Masunzu, commander of the 3rd Defense Zone of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC), was reportedly arrested this Sunday, according to several military sources.

Witnesses claim that the arrest took place in Kisangani, the capital of Tshopo province, shortly after the visit of the FARDC Chief of Staff, who was returning from an official mission to Bujumbura, the economic capital of Burundi.

According to intelligence sources inside the army,"TheChief of Staff arrived in Kisangani from Bujumbura. He went to General Masunzu's residence, where his phones were confiscated before he was taken to Kinshasa, the Congolese capital," .

The reasons for the arrest remain unclear.

No official statement from the Congolese army has yet confirmed or commented on the arrest of General Masunzu.

However, several theories are circulating within security circles in Kinshasa. Some suggest alleged links with former President Joseph Kabila, who recently launched a coalition hostile to the Congolese government. Others accuse him of ineffectiveness in the face of the M23 advance in the east of the country.

Other sources claim that the high-ranking officer interfered in operations against General Olivier Gasita. Gasita was forced to leave the city of Uvira, which became the capital of South Kivu province, after the fall of Bukavu, its former capital, to the M23 rebels earlier this year.

General Gasita was suspected by some members of civil society and the Wazalendo militias, supported by Kinshasa, of being a Rwandan spy and of tolerating the advances of the M23. Demonstrations against his installation resulted in deaths and paralyzed the city of Uvira before the army decided to evacuate him, assisted in particular by the Burundi National Defense Force (FDNB).

Yet, both generals are members of the Banyamulenge community, a Tutsi minority that has been persecuted for many years. However, they have always regarded each other with suspicion.

A high-ranking commander with a strategic background

Lieutenant General Pacifique Masunzu, from South Kivu, commanded the 3rd Defense Zone, which covers five provinces: Tshopo, Ituri, North Kivu, South Kivu, and Maniema. Before this appointment, he had commanded the 2nd Defense Zone based in Lubumbashi, Haut-Katanga.

A series of arrests in the Congolese army

His alleged arrest adds to a long list of arrests within the FARDC (Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo).

According to several observers, more than 28 generals have been arrested in recent months, accused of collusion with the enemy or desertion in the face of the front lines.

The M23, a former Tutsi rebellion, took up arms again at the end of 2021, accusing the Congolese authorities of failing to honor their commitments to reintegration. Since the beginning of the year, its fighters affiliated with the Congo River Alliance (AFC) have controlled several strategic, mineral-rich areas in the provinces of North Kivu and South Kivu, as well as their capitals: Goma and Bukavu.

Congolese authorities accuse Rwanda of supporting the rebels, which Kigali firmly denies. Burundi, for its part, has deployed approximately 10,000 soldiers to eastern Congo to fight alongside the FARDC and their allied militias against the M23.

Pending an official statement from the Ministry of Defense or the General Staff, the fate of Lieutenant General Pacifique Masunzu remains uncertain.

UPDF sergeant opens fire on his superior

A Ugandan army (UPDF) sergeant, drunk, opened fire on his superior, Major Ukoya Gabriel, and three other people on the evening of Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Zale, about 4 kilometers east of the town of Mahagi.

According to initial reports, the sergeant accused his superior of having an affair with his mistress, who was among the victims.

A Ugandan soldier shot and killed his two superiors and two women at point-blank range on Saturday, November 1, 2025, near the Zale airfield, located 4 kilometers from the center of Mahagi, in the Aru territory of Ituri province.

According to our sources, the incident began with a heated argument between two Ugandan army (UPDF) soldiers over a young woman in a bar. One of them, intoxicated, drew his weapon and opened fire, shooting those present at close range.

Two military officers, Major Okoya Gabriel and Sergeant Matthieu Ovuni, as well as two Congolese women, died in the shooting, according to our confidant sources.

All our confidants in Mahagi confirmed the information, stating that the bodies of the two victims were repatriated to Uganda after an investigation by security services and that the perpetrator, a sergeant, fled after the incident but later apprehended by the authorities and remained in custody.

Twirwaneho and wazalendo clash in mikenge

Since this morning, Tuesday, November 4, 2025, clashes have been taking place between the Wazalendo of the Congolese army and fighters from Twirwaneho, a self-defense group allied with the AFC-M23. According to security sources, the fighting is occurring around Mikengue, in the Fizi highlands of South Kivu province.

This morning, Tuesday, November 4, 2025, intense fighting broke out around Mikengue between the Wazalendo of the FDCC, led by General KAKOBANYA NAKALAMBI Justin, and the enemies of the AFC-M23, Red Tabara FNI ZABAMPEMA. The fighting began this morning and continues until the present time. The FDCC's Wazalendo forces, led by General Kakobanya Nakalambi, have already claimed occupying a large part of Mikenge, and all of Bilalombi has already fallen. Part of Mikenge has also fallen, including the stadium there. In the afternoon, violent fighting was still being reported. These clashes occurred after Twirwaneho and former Senator Moïse Nyarugabo warned of the encirclement and humanitarian blockade of Minembwe and several Banyamulenge villages by the Burundian and Congolese armies.

Islamic State's Al Naba newspaper published two photos taken by the ADF/ISCAP in Ituri, in the eastern part of the DRC.

In the third photo, these radical Islamist rebels claim to have captured a Congolese policeman, whom they filmed before killing him. The second image shows the rebels strutting through the village, to the helpless gaze of the local population. One of the rebels stops a vehicle on the road.

The newspaper reports that these events took place last week near the village of Kamangora in Ituri. I personally conducted an intelligence survey  and found no village with that name in this part of the country. However, recent ADF attacks occurred in Mayuwano near Bango in the Mambasa territory of Ituri and in Manguredjipa in the Lubero territory of North Kivu(as I wrote earlier).

* The truth is that the village is Kamagolo. It is found in the chiefdom of Basili, in the territory of Irumu. The ADF killed a police officer and burned a vehicle the previous week, a user told me via a phone call. Through my Open source intelligence survey, found articles from  various local media outlets reporting on the attack in Kamagolo, 45 kilometers from Komanda, on October 25th, which included a police officer killed and a vehicle carrying embers burned. I added the image of the burned vehicle to this post. It's not possible to match the photo of the burned vehicle (PHOTO1) with the one stopped by a rebel (PHOTO2) because the latter is obscured by the Arabic text in the Al Naba newspaper clipping. However, judging by the vehicle's frame, it appears to be the same model.
